Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A agricultura familiar e políticas públicas como instrumentos para o desenvolvimento local: o cultivo do abacaxi no município de Conceição do Araguaia-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08-26) MACHADO, Stella de Castro Santos; MANESCHY, Rosana Quaresma; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5914095913079907; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173Pineapple is a tropical native plant of the Amazon region. Hence, the southeast region of Pará is highly benefited by horticulture as it features favorable clime and soil conditions for pineapple cultivation, plenty of labour and low production costs. As it is a region with an immense area for settlements, which has still been in its early stages of structuring with low levels of income to the settlers and still precarious development conditions, it is important and urgent for the entire southeastern Pará that alternatives of investments and direction of public policies aimed at structuring the chain production of pineapple are considered and hence promote local development. This piece of work, meeting the immediate needs of the producers and managers, shows the pineapple culture as an important alternative for family farming, benefiting a great deal communities of small farmers in the southeastern Pará. It aims at evaluating the performance of public policies on pineapple production, showing the roles assigned to each public entity involved in this activity and their actual performance. Looking into bibliographic data and information through on site questionnaires, interviews and observations, it has been concluded that it is advantageous to exploit pineapple in the southeast settlement areas of Para, taking advantage of the familiar structure generating both employment and income, since it does not require large areas of cultivation or huge technology investments. The role of public policy flaws on several points listed throughout the work, which has made it difficult and hindered local development. Defying the odds, small producers keep on struggling and increasing the production of each crop, putting the city in the second place in the national production of pineapple.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Água da chuva e desenvolvimento local: o caso do abastecimento das ilhas de Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-03-02) VELOSO, Nircele da Silva Leal; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3384080521072847Water is a natural resource of significant economic, social, environmental and in many cases also cultural. Regions are suffering water shortages, both in quantity and quality. The Amazon, ironically known as a reserve of water resources, is also hostage to the lack of access to clean drinking water. The water supply in the islands of Belém is poor and propose alternatives that will ensure access to decent water quality is a major challenge. In this sense, the objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of the use of rainwater for potable supply in the islands and Grande and Murutucu as a way of promoting local sustainable development. For this, we carried out to characterize socioeconomic survey of the forms of water applied in the area, as well as analysis of the perception of the riverine and the use of rainwater, according to aspects of acceptability and interest in acquiring. It was found that 43% of riparian needs are remedied by buying potable water coming from wells (not proven), which spends about 11% of family income, spending more than the residents of Belém with water. Still on supplies nearly 20% consume water from the river. The investigation revealed that the Grande Island about 45% of the population being treated through the water, another area in this figure is 30%. It was found that 61.4% of residents of Grande Island are in favor of consumption of rainwater, since the island Murutucu portion corresponds to 50.4%. The aspect that inhibits the use of rain water is the taste. Although environmentally and socially viable, the proposed system proved financially unfeasible since most of the population earn less than a minimum wage, thus the system is partly possible.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Apontamentos para um futuro plano de gestão integrada de resíduos sólidos para o município de Limoeiro do Ajuru, Pará, Amazônia, Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-10) RODRIGUES, Maria Lucia Pompeu; FENZL, Norbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834981018643186; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173The general objective of this work is to make a significant contribution to the municipality of Limoeiro do Ajuru, Pará in the future development of an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan for the municipality. The research was carried out within the city of Limoeiro do Ajuru collecting data and information regarding the handling and production of solid waste in the city, bibliographic and field research was carried out to better understand the problem, proposing possible measures and alternatives to properly manage solid waste from its production to its final destination, so that it does not negatively affect the environment. The research work aimed to 1) Diagnose the current situation of the municipality in the urban area regarding the handling and the final destination of the solid waste produced; 2) Identify the social, economic and environmental problems caused by the inadequate handling of this waste and 3) Production of an institutional video showing the reality of the municipality about the problem of solid waste, what is the role of each one in the face of the problem to alleviate it or resolve it and, finally, propose educational actions to the population on the topic. Thus, a field survey was carried out to obtain information on the management of solid waste at the research site, which included visits to the city dump, gravimetric analysis of two days of household waste collection. In addition to the field research, documentary research was carried out in the city legislation on solid waste and sanitation, so that it was possible to make an analysis of the content of the collected material. The final part of the research was the production of a video about the problems and possible solutions to the problem of solid waste management in the city of Limoeiro do Ajuru. It was concluded with this research that there is no really effective public policy implemented in the city for the collection and final destination of solid waste, which has a negative impact on the sanitary aspects of the city.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Apropriação e usos do cerrado e a expansão da monocultura da soja nos municípios de Itaubal e Macapá, no estado do Amapá(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08-15) LAMEIRA, Anderson Maycon Tavares; FARIAS, André Luís Assunção de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5444522827521117; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173The growth shown by soybeans in recent years, coupled with the constant need to seek new areas for planting beans, put the Amapá within the new national agricultural frontier. This cerrado fragment in State, years pressed for forestry, which occupies about 1/3 of this biome, now shares space with grain crops, mainly soybeans. The increasing activity of the geographical features of the state and formatting of adequate infrastructure maintenance of commercial agriculture is related. The entrance of Amapá in grain export route arising from the Midwest, and the paving of the AP-070 and 380 highways are good examples to be cited. This work aims to analyze the appropriation and use of Cerrado Amapá, specifically in the municipalities of Macapá and Itaubal after grain farming of entry, between the period 2010 to 2015. The analyzes were made light of remote sensing and GIS from Landsat 5 TM images and Landsat 8 in the years 2010, 2013 and 2015. the information gathered show that in the beginning, the activity began timidly, with a gradual increase in the use of areas in the cerrado as infrastructure elements They were being implemented. The lack of official monitoring of the loses of natural cover in the Amapá savanna, hinders the development of more detailed analysis on the topic. This work has as main methodological contribution the need to maintain control over the natural savanna areas, also targeting the inhibition of socio-environmental conflicts in the study area.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A aquaponia: desafios e oportunidades para a produção de peixes e hortaliças no estado do Pará – Estudo de caso: projetos de aquaponia no município de Bragança-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-25) ARAÚJO, Cátia Sílvia Pereira de; MORAES, Sérgio Cardoso de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4568311568729454; FENZL, Norbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834981018643186The present research about existing experiences of Aquaponics Systems in the State of Pará, municipality of Bragança. Among the main reasons for conducting the study was aim alternative paths to aquaculture activity in Brazil to meet the growing demand for healthy foods, mitigating the indiscriminate use of water resources and the lack of treatment and dumping inadequate effluent. In this sense, the aquaponic presents itself as an alternative to the integrated production of aquatic organisms (fish, crustaceans and algae) and vegetables with the benefit to save natural resources. The research aims General Aquaponics analysis, in the social and environmental context, from the studies and experiences that exist worldwide, national, as well as in the immediate region of Bragança, Pará State, with the purpose of drafting a guide for socialization and dissemination of aquapônica technology. Based on studies of the main bibliographic references on the aquaponic and the most important experiences of Aquaponics systems in the municipality of Bragança were analyzed by checking the theoretical and practical insights of those involved, and the potential and limitations of productive activity. For the preparation of the guide used the data provided in the bibliography, as well as those purchased on the spot. The results showed a bibliographic shortage issue in Brazil, mainly in respect of the economic viability of the activity, demonstrating clearly the necessity of deepening in the studies. The research showed that there is a strong tendency for membership of the local farmers to the aquapônico system of production, largely due to increasing income generation and low environmental impacts of this type of production.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ativação do potencial bioeconômico das plantas medicinais amazônicas: uma proposta para Marapanim-PA à luz das experiências coletivas da etnofarmácia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-05-19) PINHEIRO, Ailton Castro; VASCONCELLOS SOBRINHO, Mário; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7843288526039148; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6489-219X; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2421-8245The objective of this work is to participate in actions in the area of phytotherapy in Marapanim- PA, to help project the structuring of the Local Productive Arrangement of Phytotherapy, provided for in the Municipal Phytotherapy Law of the municipality and, with this, contribute to the development of Bioeconomy in Pará Amazon, in the perspective of sustainable territorial development. For this, the following starting question was adopted: how to structure a bioeconomic APL of herbal medicines in Marapanim-PA to improve the quality of life of social actors? As a starting theoretical approach, sustainable territorial development was chosen, specifically, the relationship between territorial heritage and specific resource that, when confronted with the empirical dynamics of Marapanim-PA, needed new interdisciplinary connections, until it was consolidated in the proposition of the concept system: Territorial Social Innovation. The research has an interdisciplinary theoretical approach and is classified as an action research. Data collection took place through bibliographic research, documentary research and participant observation. Data were analyzed using the analytical instruments derived from the analysis model: a diagnosis and two projections. The results of the analytical process indicate that the heritage of Marapanim-PA has potential factors for structuring a bioeconomic cluster of herbal medicines; however, the biggest obstacle is the lack of participation of local actors in the collective action of territorial development conducted by Ethnopharmacy. This immobilization of local actors occurs due to the existence of territorial liabilities in the territorial heritage, such as little confidence and fiscal problems. As a technological result, the thesis generated two products: a pilot project to assist in structuring the APL and a pilot action plan to contribute to the activation process.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O aumento da demanda do açaí e as alterações sociais, ambientais e econômicas: o caso das várzeas de Abaetetuba, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06-30) TAGORE, Márcia de Pádua Bastos; VASCONCELLOS SOBRINHO, Mário; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7843288526039148; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173The aim of this research was to examine the increase in açaí demand and the changes in the Amazon floodplain areas, trying to understand how production systems, through intensive models of açaizeiros management, have caused social, environmental and economic changes in riverine life, that adopting practices different from those usually used in the extractive process of production of açaí are the result of changes of several orders, with consequent risks for society. The case study was carried out in Abaetetuba, Pará, based on the analysis of information from 56 dispersed families in 24 Agroextractive Settlement Projects (PAE) of the 72 islands that make up the municipality. Among the families financed for the açaí activity with resources from the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (PRONAF), based on the database of 56 Appointments to Pronaf (DAP), were chosen for analysis. Time between 2003 and 2016. The exploratory visits were made to the properties of 10 riverside inhabitants in the year 2015 and 2016, when the semi-structured open interviews were carried out with the participation of the families, the questionnaires were applied and the field explorations carried out with ethnographic records, Photographic and geographic coordinates. The management of açai trees in the floodplain areas has provided an increase in the production and income of riverside, but has also implied alterations in cultural, social and work relations, as well as in the environment, leading to the process of landscape homogenization, with a reduction in the species diversification, which will cause in the medium and long term, socioenvironmental risks where they are installed threatening the sustainability of the Várzea ecosystem, with consequences in the production and productivity of the açaizeiros.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Boas práticas na produção de fitoterápicos artesanais: estudo de caso no grupo erva vida de Marapanim, estado do Pará-br.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-14) LEAL, Felipe Salomão Valente; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6209-9646; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2421-8245In a multicultural country like Brazil, with an extensive and diverse flora, different specific human groups still prepare artisanal herbal medicines based on predominantly empirical knowledge such groups are considered to possess the necessary wisdom for this purpose. These communities apply this wisdom as an effective and accessible alternative to treat their illnesses, associating it with medicinal plants. Despite being ancient, phytotherapy is still actively expanding in modern society, considering the significant need for more accessible therapeutic options. However, to guarantee the quality and safety of these herbal medicines produced by hand, procedures that reflect Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are necessary. Thus, the general objective of this work was to understand the regulation of herbal medicine production to propose adequate and appropriate operational procedures for the qualified production of artisanal herbal medicines by community organizations. To this end, a case study was carried out with the Erva Vida group in Marapanim/PA to understand the knowledge involved in the artisanal production of herbal medicines. Bibliographical research was performed to understand, analyze, and interpret the official regulations and to evaluate the elements contained in the regulatory instruments for good production practices that can be introduced in the manufacture of herbal medicines by the community adapting it without distorting the artisanal nature of the process. After these steps and, based on the results obtained, two technological products were developed and proposed as guidance instruments: the “Roadmap for evaluating the hygienic-sanitary conditions of good manufacturing practices in the artisanal production of herbal medicines” more technical, and the “Printbook for the application of Good Manufacturing Practices in artisanal production establishments of artisanal herbal medicines” with more didactic characteristics. The first product was applied to the Erva Vida group, and the results were quantified and subsequently analyzed qualitatively to construct the second product. Finally, implementing elements of good manufacturing practices is proposed to contribute to the continuity and traditionality of this production, incorporating elements that can make its products safer and more effective without eroding the cultural characteristics of the artisanal production group.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cenários de uso da terra nas mesobacias hidrográficas dos igarapés Timboteua e Buiuna, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-19) NASCIMENTO, Nathália Cristina Costa do; BÖRNER, Jan-Christoph; FENZL, Norbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834981018643186The northeastern Pará is among the first regions of the Amazon receiving projects for induction occupation. Their forms of land use intensely focused on agricultural production triggered in the course of time a distortion of the natural landscape, natural resources and commitment to change in natural processes. Currently, the region is considered the most degraded landscape of the Amazon may be an example for areas frontier agricultural. Thus, this work focused on two river basins located between the towns of Igarapé-Açu and Marapanim in the northeastern region of the State of Pará, with the aim of understanding the dynamics of existing land uses, as well as its future trends, emphasizing their likely consequences on natural resources. The study adopted remote sensing techniques to obtain information about the dynamics of land use based on Landsat-TM image for the years 1984, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2008. From the resulting use of dynamics, modeling tools were applied to generate future scenarios of land use, were also analyzed in terms of opportunity cost in some agricultural crops in order to discuss probable alternatives to existing forms of use. The results present the scenarios generated for the year 2020 for the two river basins studied; focuses on the impacts that may arise from the different scenarios generated and also highlight the need for projects that take into account local economic and social activities so that production and conservation can be complementary and not opposing, which can be built with technical and scientific support and political will.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A cidade e as águas: os impactos da expansão urbana na bacia do rio Tabocal, Melgaço, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-10-10) MONTE, Marilene Costa Viegas do; MANESCHY, Rosana Quaresma; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5914095913079907; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4432-7331; SOARES, Daniel Araújo Sombra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6446474471044694; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5208-2429Urban expansion along water courses has generated socio-environmental impacts related to forms of occupation and use of natural resources. In addition to demonstrating how this irregular disposal occurs, the aim is to demonstrate that human actions combined with other factors can favor or enhance the formation of an environment conducive to the occurrence of extreme events. It is also intended to propose alternative structural and non-structural solutions with the aim of reducing negative impacts on the socioeconomically vulnerable population. Therefore, this work is being developed from the perspective of exploratory and qualitative research, delimited by a bibliographical procedure study, which aims to search for relevant publications to understand and analyze the research problem and which served as inspiration for the various stages of development. this one. We chose the case study, as it provides the investigation of a succession of events that occur in a peculiar way with this object of study. In this work, there was no intervention on the environment under study, restricting itself only to the observation of urban and environmental characteristics. Although the research is ongoing, it is already possible to verify that the precariousness of the material collection service, the culture of disposal permeated in the population in general and the degrading conditions of the drainage system, in this specific case, speaking of the situations of manholes, can be understood as factors that contribute to the incidence of floods, flooding and flooding in the neighborhood.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Diretrizes para a criação de um arranjo produtivo local de plantas medicinais e fitoterápicos em Marapanim-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-04-04) PINHEIRO, Ailton Castro; VASCONCELLOS SOBRINHO, Mário; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7843288526039148; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070In 2006, Brazil started its national policy of medicinal plants and phytomedicines, which includes 17 guidelines to rule actions in different segments of the phytotherapy. In 2008, to implement this policy a program was organized, which links four of these guidelines to specific actions in phytotherapy, based on traditional and popular knowledge and familiar agriculture, to determine that the Ministries involved develop actions in an integrated way, in order to enable production, and marketing, by the community itself. In 2012, the Health Ministry (HS) begun financing the pharmaceutical assistance with medicinal plants and phytomedicines, being the Local Productive Arrangement (LPA) one of the available instruments. In Amazonian State Pará, from 2012 to 2017, only four municipalities applied, and have approved, such projects by the Ministry of Health. The Municipality of Marapanim (PA) has a great ethnopharmaceutical potential, with emphasis on the work of a group of women, who practice the popular phytotherapy for more than 20 years, based on the knowledge of their ancestors. They produce handcrafted remedies combining popular knowledge with technical knowledge, in partnership with the Laboratory of Ethnopharmacy of the Nucleus of Environment of the Federal University of Pará (LAEF/ NUMA/UFPA). In this context, the aim of this work is to elaborate, and propose, guidelines to build a Local Productive Arrangement in Marapanim that can allow the insertion of phytomedicines used in folk phytotherapy in the institutional market, after a technical adequation, and thereby contributing to the territorial and endogenous development of the municipality. In order to reach this objective, a bibliographic survey was carried out based on dissertations written by members of the LAEF/NUMA/UFPA, whose set compose an important diagnosis of the reality of local herbal phytotherapy. This bibliographic survey was complemented by a documentary research in the Transparency Portal of the municipality; interviews with the Marapanim healers and participation in LAEF/NUMA/UFPA actions in favor of the valorization of local phytotherapy; study about some APL experiences, financed by MS and the analysis of the technical regulation and as well of the financial suport destined to phytotherapy. The analysis of these data was performed using the theoretical framework of territorial and endogenous development, of the National Policy and National Program of Medicinal Plants and Phytomedicine, and of the traditional and popular knowledge. As a result, this work proposes eleven guidelines for building an APL involving: initial articulation for the construction of an APL project; articulation along the implementation of the APL, training; sowing of medicinal plants, production of phytomedicine; public -private partnership for marketing in the institutional market; marketing in the private market; dispensing in the SUS; planning and budget execution of fund-to-fund resource; institutionalization of a municipal phytotherapy program, and proposal of a flow chart for APL governance. The following products were also generated: a project model to obtain resource from MS for financing an APL and a new redaction of the administrative regulation of MS nº 1,555 / 2013.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A economia solidária como vetor do desenvolvimento territorial no Marajó: estudo de caso da comunidade Santo Ezequiel Moreno, Portel (PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-11) SILVA, Alexandre Nunes da; FLORES, Maria do Socorro Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8875436559577793; ROCHA, Gilberto de Miranda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2436176783315749The research aims to present a case study that highlights and contextualizes the theme “Solidarity Economy” in the light of what has been built within the scope of the Marajó territory, having as its research universe the State Project for Agroextractive Settlement (PEAEX) Acutipereira, more specifically the Santo Ezequiel Moreno Community and its networks of solidarity collaboration with other adjacent communities. The general objective of the research was to present and understand the reality of a rural community inserted in the Marajó region, focusing on the set of solidary economic activities, in order to identify its limitations and potential, with a view to contributing to the permanent search development anchored in the territory. The methodological procedures used were bibliographic research, documentary research and field research, using the qualitative method, with an exploratory approach, through a case study. It stands out as a hypothesis that the community is in full construction of a solidary and cooperative culture and has been developing several initiatives focusing on production, distribution, consumption, savings and credit, organized in the form of self-management that effectively contribute to the achievement of territorial development and better management of natural resources, but which still requires a leap in quality both in the maturation and operationalization of its projects, in the effective access to new markets, and in the improvement of its solidarity collaboration networks inside and outside PEAEX Acutipereira , in order to achieve full social emancipation and collective well-being. It was found that the solidary economic initiatives in operation in the research community, in fact, are providing families with jobs, income and better living conditions, even if in an incipient way. Therefore, they are getting excellent results.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O estado da arte do setor de gemas e joias no município de Belém - Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-09-17) PINTO, Rosângela Gouvêa; MITSCHEIN, Thomas Adalbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7431424927108512The purpose of this dissertation is to characterize the state of the art of the jeweler industry deployed in the State of Para, which is housed in the Area St. José Liberto, located in the city of Belém is administered by the Institute of Gems and Jewels of the State of Pará - IGAMA. The characterization is done through the analysis of agents that drive its development, considering the deployment of a government program started in 1998, focused on the verticalization of mineral industry, focusing on the prospect of installing a pole in the State of Pará jeweler this analysis are considered the economic, cultural, environmental and man himself as the subject of the installation process to a chain jeweler, in a state that does not have the tradition of great centers of jewelry production, concentrated in the Southeast, as in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, which originates from a European production scenario, where the labor and craft originated throughout its history, with market development, migrated to the industrial mode of production without however, losing the characteristics of the jewel "handmade" in certain phases of the production process. The results of this research identified the main constraints, so that in fact this sector to consolidate and provide the State of Pará recognition of more genuinely a product of Para, where it uses raw materials, labor and cultural issues local allies the factors of competitiveness and quality for inclusion in the market. In taking the panorama of the sector, was used to search literature and documents in government programs for 1998 through 2011, institutional reports, periodicals and books. Concomitantly, the study of the methodology applied in the event of generation of new products in jewelry, through strategies for obtaining data as the research participant, photographic records and the application of qualitative and quantitative questionnaires.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Etnofarmácia na ilha de Cotijuba(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-11-04) MAIA, Fernando Luiz Costa; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070The growing use of herbal and home remedies can take place through technological advances and the obvious growing search for less aggressive therapies. This paper reflects on the safe and effective herbal and home remedies that represent real alternatives to lack of access to so-called synthetic allopathic drugs are not available, and especially the role that compliance with pharmaceutical care to these populations in order to better understand its use as a cultural trait ingrained in their daily lives, beliefs and experiences. Discusses the importance of Etnopharmacy because it allows us to access ancient knowledge about medicinal plants, learning about the relationships that develop between people or social groups with home remedies. And yet, as it provides the necessary correlation between the use of home remedies and their possible intoxications and side effects, the prospect of moving to pharmacovigilance. The survey etnofarmacêutico, with users of SUS on the island of Cotijuba, takes place through semi-structured interviews, to determine the disease profile of territory, from the data collection, selection of ACS, and systematic preparation of interviewers and data analysis. During the survey the users cited about 170 plant species used for a variety of problems. Of these 10 species stands out as being the most cited, according to the relative frequency of alleged use of each species for a given offense (FRAPS). With this enabled it to build a proposed phytotherapeutic memento of the island. The paper finally discusses the consolidation of PNPMF and PNPIC as well as the need to implement the PEPMF, the importance of the Internal Commission of Pharmacy and Phytotherapy and the possibility of preparing a business plan for the island, on degraded or degradation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Extração de areia e seixo: desenvolvimento ou degradação? The aim is to analyze what socio-environmental impacts were generated by the activity and whether the same has helped or contributed to the local development of this municipality. Mining is an activity that usually causes environmental degradation. In Brazil, there are reports of mining companies who worked in several regions without proper socio-environmental responsibility, with a history of abandonment, leaving behind degraded areas and communities with no prospects of a better future. This research discusses development with the concept of human development, which is considered by the UN as the fulfillment of a set of requirements of well-being and quality of life. For the research, a qualitative assessment of the impacts generated by the sand and pebble extraction on land and the pebble extraction in the bed of the Araguari river was made through the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), using the Interaction Matrix method, complemented with the Control List, adapted from previous studies. The interaction matrix identified the relationship of the actions developed in the activity with the environmental factors, and the control list showed the main socio-environmental impacts generated. The correlation of the mining activity with the local development was made from the relationship of social and economic data, as the IFDM, HDI and GDP per capita, with the CFEM. The data indicate that the activity itself has a certain influence on some social and economic indicators, notwithstanding, in areas where the extraction of aggregates occurs there is a large liability, causing an imbalance of the socioeconomic factors with the environment (Income, health and education). This research has supported the preparation of draft of the Term of Reference for the Degraded Areas Recovery Plan (PRAD), which will be submitted to the environmental licensing agency. This draft should be simple to understand and achievable by entrepreneurs, and easy to be monitored by the agency, supporting the execution of an activity with socio-environmental responsibility.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Extração do óleo do bicho do caroço do tucumã (Speciomerus ruficornis Germar): descrição do sistema sociotécnico(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-02-26) PEREIRA, Juliane do Socorro Mendonça; MANESCHY, Rosana Quaresma; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5914095913079907; SIMÕES, Aquiles Vasconcelos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0471255070027912The oil of the tucumã stone bug is a medicinal product extracted from the beetle larva (Speciomerus ruficornis Germar) a traditional knowledge passed down through the generations in communities of Marajó, especially in the Saracá community located in the municipality of Ponta de Pedras-PA where the oil is widely used in the treatment of illnesses and corresponds to an important source of income for families that carry out its extraction. This master's dissertation has the general objective of showing and describing the steps and stages of the process of extracting the oil from the tucumã seed, according to the reports of the residents of the Saracá community on the island of Marajó, as a cultural inventory through the elaboration of a sociotechnical guide. As key concepts for discussion, traditional communities, traditional knowledge, tucumã-do-Pará and natural resource management were considered, by means of authors who work with such themes with ownership, in a perspective of respect and appreciation for peoples and traditional knowledge. . The research is classified as a case study, since it was proposed to study the case of the oil of the animal and aims to return to the community through the final product, a sociotechnical guide with information already known by the residents and others pertinent to maintenance practice and traditional knowledge. The construction of the text took place through primary and secondary sources, considering the experiences lived in the years 2016, 2019 and 2020, recorded through a field diary, photographs and interviews. The monitoring of the stages of the animal oil extraction process, reports from residents, studies carried out on the ecosystem and possible environmental implications regarding the intensification of product extraction due to the increase in demand, demonstrated the need for resource management in order to guarantee access by present and future generations, enabling the reproduction of the beetle that corresponds to an important species and the maintenance of the ecosystem.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gestão do turismo sustentável na vila dos pescadores na reserva extrativista marinha Caeté-Taperaçu, Bragança/Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-12-22) PEREIRA, Alessandra de Almeida; FLORES, Maria do Socorro Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8875436559577793; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9154-6938; CONDURÚ, Marise Teles; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6085807397296909; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4545-4199This study presents the importance of sustainable tourism planning and management in Vila dos Pescadores located within the sustainable tourism zoning area, which can positively impact the community and the environment. In the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, in the northeast of Pará, several projects such as mining and the construction of BR 316, boosted the formation of a critical area, in a disorderly occupation process, where illegal mining was structured as the main economic activity in the region and advancedaround the urban core and among vulnerable social groups, changing their territories and their quality of life. The problem of this study, therefore, is to understand how goldexploration produces socio-environmental risks in the territory of Cachoeira do Piriá- PA. This study brings a political ecology approach as a theoretical contribution and asmain authors Acselrad (2004), Martinez (2007) and Porto (2012). The research is a case study and has a qualitative nature with methodological procedures anchoredin bibliographic and documentary research, through access to secondary data and public websites. The field study carried out took place in gold exploration areas locatedin rural communities and in the urban core, and in relation to the use of geotechnologies, maps of land use, location and heat maps (Kernel) were analyzed. The results demonstrated that the territory presents systematic socio-environmental risks that are mainly concentrated among vulnerable social groups, among which peripheral communities, quilombolas, fishermen and family farmers. The disproportionality in the distribution of risks over the territory is characterized by high potential among social groups, with emphasis on security risk, water risk, pedologicalrisk, health risk, and risk to the way of life, which are intensified by the absence of actions from public power and the fragility of legislation aimed at gold mining. Finally, a booklet on the socio-environmental risks of mining was created as a research product, as an information instrument to contribute to knowledge and resistance among vulnerable social groups, as well as assisting public authorities in monitoring and managing socio-environmental risks.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O manejo comunitário de pirarucu (Arapaima gigas) como alternativa econômica para os pescadores das reservas Amanã e Mamirauá, Amazonas, Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-10-14) AMARAL, Ellen Sílvia Ramos; ALMEIDA, Oriana Trindade de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0325909843645279; MITSCHEIN, Thomas Adalbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7431424927108512
