This study comprehend a deepening of previous prosodic descriptions of the variety from Mocajuba
within the AMPER-POR project (COSTA, 2015). It is an acoustic approach about the dialectal
prosodic variations, more accurately related to modal intonation. To the acoustic analysis, F0 (Hz)
values from the intonation curves were stylized by Prosogram program (Mertens, 2004), it was used
duration values of relative units V2V (Barbosa, 2007), then the duration and intensity of each speaker
were z-score normalized (Campbell, 1992). The results showed that both the sex factor as the
education factor determine prosodic differences in the variety from Mocajuba, Pará.
