An imaginary, sometimes fanciful, sometimes hellish has been established along a historical repetition of (pre) concepts and stereotypes. In many cases, literature has served to this standardization on the attempt to understand and explain the Amazonian region. The first literary texts that put the Amazon in focus in the national Brazilian literary scene are linked to positivism principles in vogue in the nineteenth century and are concomitantly inserted in the realismnaturalism literary tradition. In this paper, we will discuss the ideological bases present in the paratextual discourse (GENETTE, 2009) that support the infernal or paradisiacal characterization of the Amazon; questioning at last how the narrative discourse (Fictionality/Factuality) (STIERLE, 2002; SCHMID, 2010) intends to be taken as representative of a space and of societies that dwell there in a certain historical context.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os amigos da branquinha: entre a repressão e a resistência(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-12) MARTINS, Amilcar de SouzaFrom 1930,with the emergence of Getulio Vargas to power was created a project of idealization of Brazilian workers, where habits such as the consumption of drinks should be controlado. No For this project of disciplinarization of worker gained strength in interventoria Magalhães Barata , which forbade the consumption and trade of brandy interfering in a common practice among the popular classes.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uma Análise Existencial De Onde Andará Dulce Veiga?, De Caio Fernando Abreu(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-12) MACEDO, Éder Alves deThe article An Existential Analysis of Onde Andará Dulce Veiga?, by Caio Fernando Abreu has as object to relate content, form and time spirit (Zeitgeist), considering the study and the analysis of the romance Onde Andará Dulce Veiga?, by Caio Fernando Abreu, observing the existentialism, spread over by the French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, in the post Second War scenery. To do so, the concepts of being and consciousness, in Sartre’s masterpiece, Being and Nothingness: Phenomenological Ontology Essay, are used, as well the concept of narrative space. Thus, the methodological procedure is guided in elaborate an analysis of the romance using the relation among space, being and consciousness; therefore, it is created the tool existential space. Previously, it is concluded that, in fact, the existentialism took part as a former of the narrative structure in modern romance, specifically, in the appraised romance; nevertheless, it is not just as a theme, but as an incrusted element in romance form. On this way, the importance of this study to the literary studies is that, besides to detect and describe themes, it is searched to point at formal elements as dialect products, results from a historical, ideological and philosophical conjunction.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise prosódica dialétal do português falado em Belém (PA) com os dados amper(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05) CARDOSO, Brayna Conceição dos Santos; CRUZ, Regina Célia Fernandes; BRITO, Camila Roberta dos SantosThe research presents the results of an acoustic study of the prosodic dialectal variation of the Portuguese spoken in Belém. For this purpose, we start from the analysis of two songs of Marujada, religious procession that takes place in the city of Bragança, in the state of Pará, from Rhetoric by Aristotle and from the work of current researchers about argumentation in discourse, among which we mention Amossy (2006) and Charaudeau (1992, 2000, 2004, 2008). From Aristotle (2005) we take the notions of ethos, pathos and logos and from Charaudeau the notion of descriptive mode of organization of discourse (1992), visée discursive (2004) and rationalization (2008). With this work we hope to demonstrate how, in certain discourses such as the religious, the logos is not built from a logical rationality, but by emotions of the producer of the discourse, which drive the composition of the logos.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Arquétipo e representação na telenovela: lugar comum e espaços discursivos na representação do mesmo nas protagonistas - Helena de Manoel Carlos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-06) MIRANDA, Cristia RodriguesThis paper pretends to study some archetypes and models about the compositions in Manoel Carlos’s Helenas-character, considering the cultural industry and mass culture. Hence, we consider appropriate the regularities and dispersions in the compositions of the Helena-character, because they structured as the logic mass culture and the real reproduction in the form of simulation reproducing and mediating social representations.
