Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O abastecimento no século XVIII no Grão Pará: Macapá e vilas circunvizinhas(2005-12) RAVENA, NírviaThrough the analysis of supply in villages and Indian settlements from Pará in the colonial period, this article provides evidence of the autonomy and the productivity of the populations placed in the geographic area consisting of the northern region of Amazonia. São José do Macapá and the outskirts villages are considered pioneer areas of the development of the Pombal period politics of colonization, these populations, different from what has been previously interpreted, searched in the local environment for the solution to the problems originated by metropolitan politics. The demands of Indian labour, the seduction by the profits in the goods which composed the role of “drogas do sertão” and the construction of the Fort of São José do Macapá, directed the comsumption of all the efforts and goods in the metropolitan politic to the detriment of the objective presented as motivation for the dislocation of the Portuguese colonists.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ação pública socioambiental em questão: desafios da cogestão de uma Resex Marinha na Amazônia brasileira(Universidade Federal da Bahia, 2022) OLIVEIRA, Marcelo do Vale; RIBEIRO, Tânia Guimarães; TEISSERENC, Maria José da Silva AquinoItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ações e percepções de desenvolvimento sustentável na emergência de territórios(2014-12) MENDONÇA, Marluce Ribeiro de; AQUINO, Maria José da Silva; SOUSA, Isabel Soares deIn this article we analyze aspects related to perspectives and participation of actors in processes posed by challenges of social use and conservation of natural resources in protected arcas in the Brazilian Amazon. This woman's main complaint was that the symptoms were still present even though she was complying the treatment. The purpose was to assist the client to promote the installation of new behaviors and to generalize appropriate behavior patterns, looking for a better urticaria control. Ten sessions were carried out in the hospital, by using the Constructional approach from Behavior Analysis, through the related episode's functional analysis. Results indicated that the triggering and maintenance of the crises had multiple reasons. The contingency-analysis training accomplished during the sessions had promoted a better control of environmental factors. The patient came to comply appropriately with medication use after establishing functional relations between symptoms and environmental stressors. There was a reduction of symptoms and improvement in controlling the disease. This conclusion suggests a better understanding about the relevance of psychotherapeutic accompaniment to the adherence of medical treatment. Creativity is an existential coping strategy that favors the updating of self-understanding and the unveiling of power plays in culture. Subalternity refers to inferiority, dependence, and domination present in the lowest strata of society, constituted by the specific modes of exclusion. Creative adjustment benefits identification with your body, your color, your sexuality; love, and cognitively appreciate your personal worth. Belonging to a family group is the first frontier of social learning of self-recognition; followed by the peer group, work, leisure, etc. Thus affirmation of the identity and mental health of black and lesbian women requires creative, personal and collective strategies of overcoming subalternity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Alterações no desempenho ocupacional de pessoas com doença renal crônica em diálise peritoneal(Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, 2018) MORAES, Alice da Silva; SOUZA, Airle Miranda de; SENA, Teresa Christina da Cruz Bezerra de; FALCÃO, Luiz Fábio Magno; CORRÊA, Victor Augusto CavaleiroThis study aims to evaluate the occupational performance of patients diagnosed with CKD that were undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis. Encouraged economic exploitation did not result in a significant increase in the social well-being of the population. As the foundation for this argument, bibliographic studies and research on the websites of public institutions and non-governmental organizations are used. The records of researchers and entities working in the region show that traditional populations suffer from the disruption of their ways of life and that the conflicts generated extend over decades, remaining unsolved.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Amazônia no século 21: novas formas de desenvolvimento(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-12) LOUREIRO, Violeta RefkalefskyThis paper focuses on the following question: is it viable to think of another form of an alternative development for the brazilian Amazon - in relation to the hegemonic way - under which the region inhabitants and nature are not excessively exploited, nature better conserved and social conflicts reduced? As an answer, the study seeks to analyze the viability of constructing a fairer and more dignified life for all, based on parameters of different developments, and therefore alternatives in relation to the parameters defined and imposed by the hegemonic model currently practiced by the western world, which has demonstrated to be indifferent to the innumerous mistakes and evils that spread along countries and peripheral regions. This is not about denying the existence of a globalization process underway and its impacts, especially those on the peripheral regions; but to believe that despite it, it is possible to concurrently develop positive and very significant changes in favor of the region and its people, as long as there is a mobilization of the many internal forces and the Amazon available resources.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O antropólogo Herbert Baldus(2000) SILVA, Orlando SampaioHerbert Baldus was a German-Brazilian anthropologist who played an important role in the development of anthropological research and knowledge in Brazil. His scientific work was intimately linked to his own life, spent mostly in this country, where he devoted himself to teaching, to research and scientific divulgation, as well as to the establishment of an official Indian policy bent on the preservation of indigenous populations. His theoretical contributions ranged from initial investigations on material culture and non-material culture to functional and structural approaches, while he also established the foundations for the study of cultural change of Indian societies in contact situations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A ausência eloquente: ciência política brasileira, povos indígenas e o debate acadêmico canadense contemporâneo(Universidade de Brasília, 2020-12) SOARES, Leonardo BarrosAn empirical analysis of the Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações of the CAPES and of seven important Brazilian political science journals over the last twenty years shows a significative lack of interest in researching Indigenous issues. This paper uses bibliometric analysis and carries out an extensive literature review of 2,621 papers and 47 Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations to prove this claim and to present to Brazilian readers political science research on Indigenous peoples in Canada, highlighting topics of interest. We then present some critical views of Indigenous policy and studies on this topic in that country. We conclude by calling for the Brazilian political science community, both scholars and students, to establish a research agenda on this important segment of the country’s population.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Autonomização do campo judicial e redefinição das elites judiciais locais(Pontíficia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, 2020-09) DIAS, Bárbara Lou da Costa VelosoWhat the present study sought to identify was the type of process of transformation of the political field of the Brazilian judicial administration and its effects from the institutionalization of the 1988 and EC n. 45/2004 that produced selective incentives for the formation of a new political field of judicial administration in Brazil. The investigation has shown: 1.Significant degree of autonomy of the Brazilian judicial system in relation to other representative-democratic institutions; 2. The judicial system bureaucratic autonomization and the new articulation of this field with state executives; 3. This process of autonomy was based on an authoritarian history of professionalization in the field that legitimizes bureaucratic autonomization and expresses itself in a new type of judicial elite within the field of political administration in the judicial courts; 4. The emergence of a new judicial elite that represents itself as the bearer of modernization and professionalization in the judicial field and incorporates the habitus of this selfrepresentation and 5. The new articulation of the local Executive and Judiciary that establishes different modes of articulation in order to guarantee the autonomization of this judicial elite in relation to the other participants in the political-bureaucratic field.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Autoridade médica e divulgação científica no Grão-Pará flagelado pelo cólera: século XIX(2002-06) BELTRÃO, Jane FelipeThe increment of the Cholera epidemic in 1855 in Grão-Pará started a strong debate among the doctors of the Province regarding the conduct and treatment for the sick. For this, 58 graduate, master and doctoral students from two programs at a Federal University participated, who filled out a characterization questionnaire and the Life Satisfaction, Positive Affect and Assessment of Emotional Regulation Strategies scales. of Adults. Data were analyzed quantitatively, using descriptive statistics with a measure of central tendency, with the help of SPSS 20 software. The results show that, despite the difference between the number of participants per program, students have used satisfactory strategies, since there was no minimum score on any of the subscales – sadness, anger and fear. When associated with the study categories, it was found that Life Satisfaction has a high positive correlation with Joy and positive Affect. In addition, it is clear that students who had a low feeling of satisfaction with life, do not show animation and engagement in everyday activities. The absence of adaptive strategies for negative emotions tends to directly affect the subjects' positive affect and feelings of well-being. It is suggested the development of new studies, with an enlarged sample and that accompany the formative process of the students, in order to understand the influences of the strategies used in the academic performance.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Avaliação situacional de biossegurança em tuberculose em Unidades Básicas de Saúde na Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-12) ARAUJO, Maria Rute de Souza; SILVA, Hilton Pereira da; SILVA, Ariana Kelly Leandra Silva daIntroduction: the research addresses the biosafety of health professionals who attend to tuberculosis (TB) patients in two health care facilities from the Brazilian Amazon - Belém, state of Pará - a school Health Center and a Primary Health Unit (UMS) where most regional TB cases are treated. Objective: to analyze the health professionals’ knowledge on TB biosafety, the infrastructure, the procedures and the TB biosafety resources adopted in these services. Method: a semi-structured interview was conducted with those who deal with the patients, and an observation guide was applied to evaluate the physical structure of the areas specially designated for TB treatment, both based on the TB guidelines of the Brazilian Society of Pneumology and Tisiology. Results: the absence of biosafety measures, as well as the lack of permanent training, compromise the workers’ health. The risk of TB transmission seems to be higher in the UMS due to deficiencies in care organization and to the absence of an adequate environment that could prevent the direct contact of contagious patients with other people. Conclusion: there is an urgent need for changes in the UMS’s workplace and work organization, and also for a permanent TB training program for the health care professionals from both servicesItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) ''Bailando com o Senhor'': técnicas corporais de culto e louvor (o êxtase e o transe como técnicas corporais)(2003) MAUÉS, Raymundo HeraldoCharismatic Catholic's utilization of the body as instrument of cult and praise, with healing and other techniques, has called so much attention in Brazil. This is reinforced by mass media, especially through the role played by ministers as Father Marcelo Rossi. This fact permits a reflection and a comparative study with other kinds of cult, mainly those with shamanistic characteristics, as rural Amazon pajelança and Afro-Brazilian religions. This article begins with the notion of body techniques, as formulated by Marcel Mauss, and deals with Merleau-Ponty, Pierre Bourdieu and Thomas Csordas concepts. With these theoretical instruments, the article tries to analyze a part of the empirical data collected by the author in a field research among the Charismatic Catholics in the city of Belém and among rural inhabitants (peasants and craft fishermen) of Brazilian Eastern Amazon (coastal region of Pará State), whose mainly religious practice is pajelança and popular Catholicism.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O bairro Batista Campos e as dinâmicas do tempo na cidade de Belém, Brasil: memórias e paisagens arruinadas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-04) SILVEIRA, Flávio Leonel Abreu da; ROCHA, Manoel Cláudio Mendes Gonçalves daThe article considers a reflection about memoirs of Batista Campos district's residents, situated in Belém, State of Pará, Brazil, to enable, from their narratives, the comprehension of transformation processes of cityscapes with which they have symbolic and affective connections. Its parameter is the locational logic of the housing estates implemented by these policies in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (Northern Brazil). This paper characterizes the two policies, maps the housing estates they have set up in the metropolitan context, and classifies them according to the three funding bands laid down by each policy. It shows that, in both cases, the sites chosen for the housing estates in the urban grid are determined by the purchasing power of the borrowers, in such a way that those who "have a better home and life" are those who can pay more for the dwelling. By revealing that the housing estates targeted at those in the lowest income stratum are located on the periphery, it shows the clear segregation process that has characterized the production of urban space in these housing policies.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Biotecnologias, subjetivação e psicologias: mercado de células-tronco do cordão umbilical(Associação Brasileira de Psicologia Social, 2017) GALINDO, Dolores Cristina Gomes; RODRIGUES, Renata Vilela; LEMOS, Flávia Cristina Silveira; ALMEIDA, Leila Cristina da Conceição SantosThis article aims to analyze production practices of bio-social subjectivity through the stem cell market made through risk management and biopolitics future precautions, within the family and the parent-child relationship.
