Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Imagens do espaço urbano e da violência em canções da música popular(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12) CORNELSEN, Élcio LoureiroThis brief study aims to establish a relationship between urban space and violence, and the way in which this relationship is present in the lyrics of popular music songs. Lyrics from four songs were selected to compose the corpus of analysis: “De frente pro crime” (1975), by João Bosco, “Veraneio vascaína” (1986), by the group Capital Inicial, “Periferia é periferia” (1997), by the group Racionais MC's, and “Minha alma” (1999), by the group O Rappa. We start from the concept of violence, as proposed by Tânia Pellegrini as “the use of force to cause physical or psychological harm to another person”. The study showed that the main aspect in common between the four songs is the criticism of the potential for violence in the Brazilian urban space. Thus, such issues can also be understood in the key of the concept of resistance, as postulated by Michael Foucault and, respectively, Alfredo Bosi.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho, saberes e a terra: as mulheres no assentamento Serra Dourada/GO(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12) SOUZA, Jéssica Lorrane Gonçalves; RAMOS, Geovanna de Lourdes AlvesThis research analyzed the work process for women in the Serra Dourada/GO Settlement, based on their actions in the context of planting vegetables. Thus, it reflected on the role that women play in their daily activities, that is, ahead of production, harvesting and planting activities, as well as whether the tasks performed by them interfere or not in the family economy. Through Oral History, it was possible to understand the stories of settled women who work with vegetable plantations and enabled us to reconstruct practices, impasses, conflicts experienced in the settlement and in the city. In this sense, the analyses will be centered on the life stories of women who somehow work within the community. We saw that some of these women are not recognized by the local society, but they mention that they recognize themselves in this process, as well as by the family.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Palabras, sentidos y papilas gustativas en ‘seios e ventres’ de Kanguimbu Ananaz(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12) SANTOS, Daiana Nascimento dos; PÉNDOLA, PatriciaArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Descuidos sem gênero(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12) ZORDAN, PaolaThis brief essay, in the style of bell hooks, remains issues between domestic and institutional work, having as its focus home, which, in other respects, is our country and our planet. The problem is updated beyond a female question based on Byung-Chul Han's psychopolitics, especially with regard to the constraints suffered by Brazilian intellectuals and artists. Burnout of the society of tiredness generates carelessness, not paying attention to what you really are. Not having gender is feeling out of any category and this can be interesting to overcome the lack of compassion of the performance subjects and create a poetics that affirms an unsubdued existence.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Narrativa de vítimas, impunidade e religiosidade da classe média no Uruguai: possíveis impugnações ao campo da memória e dos direitos humanos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12) MONTEALEGRE ALEGRÍA, NataliaThis article delves into some aspects of the relationship between impunity, middle class and religion in Uruguay, based on the public narrative of a group of disappeared detainees, bestselling author, gestalt therapist and Uruguayan neochamán. Its production of an autobiographical nature is of interest, because it allows us to enter into some dilemmatic aspects that challenge the common sense around concepts of memory and justice, shared in the field of memory and human rights, from a perspective that provides insight into how it can impact in different areas the ethos of individual comfort. Written in the context of a world pandemic, this text contributes to a reflection on the potential consequences of the development of universes of meaning on the pillars of individualism and autonomy, and their potential opposition to the universality of human rights. At the same time, it highlights the intersection between religion and politics in the Southern Cone through the narrative of a victim -member of the second generation-, who builds a biographical project that makes possible the formation of a happy family.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Apresentação do dossiê: margens, poder e insurgências na América latina(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) SILVA, Tiago Lemões da; LOBO, Janaina Campos; CLAUDINO, Livio Sergio Dias; SOUSA, Rosângela do Socorro Nogueira deWhen we take Latin America as a locus of reflection, in its multiplicity of cultures, cosmologies, ways of existing and resisting, it is inevitable to focus on the relationship between modernity, the State, violence and racism, articulated with local forms of power in societies marked by experience colonizer and by what Achille Mbembe considers as efabulation processes, expressed by the fallacious invention of statements about the inhuman and savage inferiority of certain populations. The flow of historical processes of domination and oppression that still run through the open veins of Latin America, however, has never ceased to face insurgent collectivities that, in rural and urban contexts, (re)invent other identities and narratives, confronting mechanisms of subjugation and silencing, destabilizing state production in “non-law zones”, affirming subalternized identities and fighting for changes in power relations from the margins of the State, in the sense attributed by Veena Das and Deborah PooleArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Nomes do possível: autêntica lembrança e estudo sequencial das políticas autonômicas no extremo norte do Uruguai(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) MORAES, Alex MartinsMy interlocutors of the sugarcane cutters popular movement of NorthernUruguay enunciated their political purposes by referring to a set of emblematic words that, according to them, point to the existence of an old-time ‘autonomy’ that could nowadays be actualized. This kind of perspective regarding the past belongs to the realm of ‘authentic memories’ (Walter Benjamin) and raise the hypothesis that a past event can be rediscovered in light of current concerns that make it an object of political attention. I verify this hypothesis through a ‘sequential analysis of politics’ (Sylvain Lazarus). I select some words that capture the attention of my interlocutors and then I immerse myself in the forms of consciousness that such words once held. Finally, I reflect on how a contemporary political process can give us access to an oldtime autonomic experience, exposing us to what Benjamin would call ‘crystallization in monad’ of the time of emancipation.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gestão dos corpos nas favelas e periferias no Rio de Janeiro: das remoções à Covid-19(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) SILVA, Flávio da Rocha Pires daIn the course of the Brazilian Republic, the favelas and peripheries were the targets of several public administration interventions. These places were always placed as "the other", as vulnerable, as "problems". From a state point of view, these problems must be addressed through removals, militarization, the real estate market, among other different ways of managing a given population. Or simply, it can be left at the mercy of a purposeful precariousness in a time of crisis. Therefore, this study will use the city of Rio de Janeiro as a case study to exemplify the different production and management.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Meninas alvo do sistema: intersecções necropolíticas de gênero, sexualidade, raça, território e classe na trajetória das adolescentes privadas de liberdade no Ceará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) SILVA, Vitória Rodrigues da; MOURA JUNIOR, James FerreiraThis study aims to analyze the influence of the intersection between the markers of gender, sexuality, race, territory and class in the trajectory of the socioeducandas of a detention center in Ceará. Through a multi-method approach, ethnographic incursions, application of 61 questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews with 8 interlocutors were carried out. As a result, it is observed that the socioeducandas have common characteristics, being mostly black; coming from peripheral regions; with difficulty in access to public policies that guarantee fundamental rights; with greater exposure to violence from the state and criminal gangs. It is suggested that markers that are historically and socially used for discriminatory practices contribute to the construction of a target profile for incarceration and the criminalization of behaviors of black girls living in peripheral territories.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A colonialidade nas políticas ambientais do governo Bolsonaro e a inversão dos órgãos de defesa do meio ambiente(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) MISSIATTO, Leandro Aparecido Fonseca; SILVA, Leila Gracieli da; CARVALHO, Fábio Rodrigues; DENES, Daylan Maykiele; MISSIATTO, Héverton MagnoBrazil has been highlighted in the ranking of deforestation, fires, extraction of natural resources, animal trafficking and conflicts against native peoples. The governmental actions in force in the country show that the dismantling of environmental policies is based on coloniality with the old guise of progress at any cost, including a socio-environmental collapse. Thus, institutions that, in theory, should act to protect the environment, act without any kind of modesty in institutional production in an offensive to the environment. The present essay discusses what has been happening in the Brazilian institutional scenario, and what are the possible paths through the decolonialist and Bem Viver perspective.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Necroterritórios: Territorialização e desterritorialização dos povos indígenas como estratégias necropolíticas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) OLIVEIRA, Manoel Rufino David deThis study aims to analyze the territory as a necropolitical technology for the production of death of indigenous peoples, based on the theory of Achille Mbembe and Rogério Haesbaert. Firstly, we discussed the concept of necropolitics, and then we explained the historic process of genocide of indigenous peoples. Third, we analyzed the territory as a necropolitical technology for the production of death of these peoples, mainly based on practices of territorialization and deterritorialization. The research is exploratory and adopts the deductive method, using bibliographic and documentary review as research tools. In the end, we concluded that the territories in the Cerrado and in the Amazon are truly necroterritories, in which processes of territorialization and deterritorialization capture the lives of indigenous peoples and produce their mass extermination in response to the needs of agribusiness capital.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Movimento de mulheres do Xingu (MMX)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) PEREIRA, Joselaine Raquel da SilvaThis article deals with the Xingu Women's Movement (XWM) as a form of resistance by Xingu women against various forms of intersectional violence to which they are subjected, presenting itself as an insurgent movement that seeks to occupy the decision-making spaces within and outside their communities. My objective is to demonstrate how their speeches and actions are aligned with a project of a more balanced society between men and women and human beings and nature (the concept of good living), through an analysis of several audiovisual materials together with a bibliographic review on themes of gender and ecology, resorting to the use of interviews and quotations as methods of exemplifying the cosmovisions and cosmopractices of the original women, and finally, I present this praxis as a model of collective interepistemological resistance against capitalist and individualistic “dis-involvement”.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Medidas memoriais e usos políticos da ditadura civil-militar brasileira na era FHC (1995-2002)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) KLASSMANN, Júlia BologniniThe present text investigates the political uses of the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship under Fernando Henrique Cardoso’s presidency (1995-2002), analyzing the memorial measures undertaken by his government (such as the Law of the Disappeared, the first implemented during the New Republic), and the signing of the Decree 4.553, which reinforces secrecy of State documents. Also analyzed are the official mentions of the military regime in his presidential speeches, mainly on occasions of commemorative celebrations or of the launching related policies. The research comes from the understanding that these, as well as the presidential speeches, represent a state effort to stabilize the battles of memory through the institutionalization of a unique narrative about the past. This survey points out that FHC, although presenting relatively progressive management of the dictatorial past for the Latin American context of the time, maintains the conciliatory pact that shaped the political transition in the late 1980s and instrumentalizes the memory of authoritarianism favoring his liberal economic project.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Tiadozia da Rocha por “enganar” o juiz, perde suas terras – o gênero e o sistema sesmarial na capitania do Siará Grande(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) MAGALHÃES, Leiliane KeciaThis article analyzes the request for land made in 1706 by tiodozia da Rocha to the Portuguese Crown in the captaincy of Siará Grande, in order to identify the strategies used by women and men in obtaining land, from reading the Sesmarias Letters and identifying the women who requested sesmarias to the King under the legislation referring to the Sesmarial System, taking as a theoretical contribution the Gender Studies, by understanding that men and women, women and women are interconnected through multiple interest relationships, constituting intricate networks of power. Despite the control of the Portuguese administration over the distribution of sesmarias in the captaincy of Siará Grande, both women and men sought ways to obtain more land than the legislation envisaged, serving their own interests and not those of the King, in order to become Ladies and gentlemen of the land.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Quando a arte engajada se insurge contra a violência de Estado: a hora dos ruminantes e a luta política, da literatura ao cinema(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) MELLO, Marcelo Cordeiro deOur starting point is a discussion about the committed art and political resistance to which filmmaker Luiz Sergio Person and critic-screenwriter Jean-Claude Bernardet respond, especially, magical realism and Third World Cinema. The duo Person and Bernardet is an original voice within the Sixties. We analyze their production, from the feature film The case of the Naves brothers – which dared to denounce torture and state violence in Brazilian military dictatorship – up to the non-filmed screenplay The plague of the ruminants, a manifesto of insurgency and resistance against the violence of the Military Dictatorship. Finally, we will speak about the film that Person made at the most violent moment of the Dictatorship, Procession of the Dead, a fantasy that brought into playing real political elements of Latin America at the time, such as rural guerrillas and the death of Che Guevara.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Racionalização das artes para o século XXI(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) RIBEIRO, Louise Bogea; SANTOS, Raquel Chagas; RIBEIRO, Milena Moraes Araújo; DERENJI, Jussara SilveiraIn order to characterize three fundamental criteria for the recognition of an artistic work, based on the principles of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831), when discussing artistic criticism during the course Tribuna do Cretino, this essay was produced. As an attempt to promote the artist and public interaction, valuing the craft and professionals of the area, without limiting the production of art in its most diverse supports. It is defined as the origin, content, purpose, and ability to transmit messages of any artwork, when discussing the relations between new creation and reality, considering the lack of dialogue with the consumers of art. It is hoped to contribute to the union of the sensible and rational, as well as the development of an artistic practice against the current banalizing and damaging scenario for the human spirit, with a significant lack of artistic-cultural communication and little understanding for what serves the art.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Relação entre recursos naturais, identidades tradicionais e línguas na Amazônia brasileira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) GOMES, Edson de FreitasThe aim of this article is to present and discuss some of the reasons that have caused the progressive loss of a significant portion of natural in Brazil, especially in the brazilian Amazon, and the consequences of this loss for the maintenance of the traditional people’s way of life in relation to their territories, their identities, and their languages, with emphasis on indigenous people who are one of the most responsible for nature conservation. The data comes from websites scientific articles and in the case of the linguistic data, from the author’s fieldwork. It was concluded that the progress promised with the exploitation of the natural resources of the Amazon, was not satisfactory for the great majority of the Brazilian population, especially the traditional populations.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) História e cinema: uma leitura iconográfica da modernidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) SILVA, Edinei Pereira daThis article has a scope deal with a movie theater as a consequence of changes by the development of modernity. The elements captured by cinematic lenses, beyond big facts shown by the historiographies studying, passing by daily relation, those which many times are managed by the time. This one, problematized here like capitalism substance placed as standardization about an organization. Some films were done to fund the study. For example Metropolis (Lang, Fritz), and Tempos Modernos (Chaplin, Charles). Both bring a lot of questions for an analysis of that conjuncture. Searched scan scenes that bring the direct form to Time as an elementary substance about that reality, and your conjunctions which implies in alternation and consequences of modernity man from iconographic reading.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Etnomatemática: uma experiência na casa familiar rural de Breves/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) OLIVEIRA, Odilson de Paiva; LACERDA, Alan Gonçalves; FERREIRA, Robson dos santosWe aim to analyze which contributions can be observed in the process of teaching mathematics from the development of activities from the perspective of Ethnomathematics at the Rural Family House Community School in the city of Breves/PA. We used D'Ambrosio's Ethnomathematics perspective, which presents it as a means of recognizing the influence of cultures in the way of dealing with everyday situations and problems. The participating subjects were: students from the EJA (Youth and Adult Education) fourth stage; the 3rd year high school class; the Forestry Technician at CFR. The reflections made lead us to infer that a work articulated between local cultural knowledge, linked to school mathematical knowledge and made possible by work from the perspective of Ethnomathematics provides a favorable environment for the formation of reflective students, capable of articulating the various knowledge (school and non-school students) in favor of their citizenship education.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Do tambor ao “trabalho”: alguns esboços sobre os aspectos de Exus e Pombagiras em um terreiro de mina no nordeste paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) ROSÁRIO, Victor Lean do; ABREU, Rachel Oliveira de; SALDANHA, Carla Figueiredo MarinhoThis article aims to present aspects referring to the symbols of the Exus and Pombagiras in the Terreiro Mina Nagô Cabocla Mariana and Tapinaré das Matas, in the city of Igarapé-Açu, northeast of Pará. Methodologically this research was built from an ethnographic outline, with participant observation and continuous dialogue with the entities a fundamental point. From the exposure of the cultural codes of the “Terreiro” during the article, it is clear that as a (in) conclusion, the Exus and Pombagiras resignify their symbologies, (re) creating new identities, experiences and (r) existences within the umbanda body, relating and reviewing the approximation between the supernatural and the social world.
