Comunicação, neoconservadorismo e reconhecimento: tensões, contradições e disputas acerca das noções de família no Brasil em ambientes de visibilidade ampliada
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-29) SEREJO, Elias Santos; LAGE, Danila Gentil Rodriguez Cal; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4593992869253877; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3243-8368
The democratic crises and political ruptures marked by the 2016 coup, which polarized the public debate in Brazil, showed us that the notions of family have guided contemporary discussions, especially when tensioned from the advances in the struggles for recognition taken up by the LGBTQIA+ populations and of women, through the feminist gender debate. In different spaces, we were able to witness the mobilization of the concept of traditional, or nuclear, family, as a resource for coping with social changes arising from the visibility of other relationships and ways of being and living. At the same time, we also see in debate arenas the assertion that, as a historical-social construct, the family entity is mutable and diverse. In this context, we ask ourselves: what arguments are put forward in the public sphere to defend one or another way of dealing with the issue? And how do the media act in this context? These questions instigated this research. Our general objective in this work is to understand how the notions of family guide the contemporary political debate from the tensions arising from the action of social movements and the meanings produced about the family category in the media. Specifically, we want to a) Identify which senses/notions and arguments about family emerge in different communicational contexts; b) Identify which contemporary landmarks are decisive for the debate on families in the political agenda; c) Understand what notion of politics or democracy underlies discourses about families and what elements/characteristics/aspects of the family entity are in dispute; f) Understand how social movements from different political spectrums (conservatives and progressives) build their political agendas around the family category. For this, we focus on a theoretical framework to understand the elements that led to the rise of the extreme right in western democracies, the convenient partnership between neoconservatives and fundamentalist Christians, especially evangelicals, and the strength of neoliberalism operating as rationality in social relations. In addition, we seek to understand the role of the media in inserting themes for discussion in the public sphere and how social movements appropriate environments of increased visibility to reverberate their agendas. The corpus of analysis consists of texts published on the news portals O Globo and Estadão; and the content of progressive (ABRAFH and Aliança LGBTI+) and conservative (Instituto Plínio Corrêa Oliveira and Movimento de Defesa da Família) sites. To answer our questions, we developed a Content Analysis with technological support from the Iramuteq software, which helped us to systematize the data. For each dimension, we established categories based on the Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD) derived from the Reinert Method, produced by the software. The categorization allowed us to understand the available arguments about families that deal with the defense of a rigid structure, which contributes to the maintenance of traditionality and an expanded notion of family.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12-19) IMBIRIBA, Jéssica Mayara Marques Barboza; CARVALHO, Jacira Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9434086419077532; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5464-2434
The family constitutes an important social group, in which the health-disease process occurs and is most often solved, in this way the family acts as a unit of primary care in the health and care of its members. It should be relevant to the study on the health of the Amazon family especially the riverside, as can be observed that the familiar system of these populations present complexities unique evolutionary and contextual features, developed over the years in their interaction with the environment and regional characteristics of the Amazon, besides the professional nurses not being able to carry out evaluations of families, in the perspective that the health models today propose equity, universality, resolubility with co-responsibilities. This dissertation aimed to describe how the families living on the Island of Combu face the problems of life and health in the family everyday. This is a descriptive and explanatory research of a qualitative nature. Where families were evaluated according to the Calgary Model of Family Evaluation (FHH), using observation, the Figueiredo interview form (2012) based on Wright, Leahey (2012) and adapted, field diary, the Genogram and the Ecomapa. As a context of the study we have the Combu Island, and as a target population 10 families attended in the Family Health Strategy that have an area of easy access for the research team. This research complied with Resolution Nº. 466 of 12 of December, 2012 of the National Health Council (CNS). As results the predominant type of family is the single parent led by the woman, the occupation of the mothers was of the home, the occupation of the parents was extractive and the occupation of the student children. The type of contact with the family occurs through personal, and they use the extended family mainly for social company. It has as form of sustenance as being the work of own account, those who have children in school stage reports that all attend the school. They use the ESF mainly for disease prevention and hospital services only when referenced. They have a very present religiosity. The way of access is by means of boats, and the houses do not have refrigeration or heating, the discharge of garbage is given by means of the burning. Regarding family planning, most did not plan their children despite knowing about contraceptive methods, social rights in pregnancy, and social rights of motherhood and fatherhood. We have the most active member as being the figure of the mother, the relatives have shown to have a very strong relationship with each other, and the approximation in relation to the resolutions of problems and affective occurs mainly in the contact mother and first-born. In conclusion, it was possible to observe that the nursing professional only has to carry out actions of health education with the purpose of guiding the families and reducing the impacts of the absence of the public power in relation to the issues of basic sanitation and water supply.

“Equilíbrio precário”: corpo, gênero e família em Bragança/Pará (1916-1940)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-20) CAMPOS, Alessandra Patricia de Oliveira Dias; CANCELA, Cristina Donza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8393402118322730
This work aims to analyze how representations, practices and values were woven to the female body in Bragantina society between the years 1916 and 1940. In this sense, the problem was based on the view that the various characters involved in sexual crimes were women who with their experiences posed dangers to the balance of hegemonic family and social relations and Therefore, they should be watched so that they do not use their body as a place of exercise of power. To this end, the analysis started from the cross-study of discourses present in sixty-three judicial cases, nine medical and legal works, the Penal Codes of 1890 and 1940, the Civil Code of 1916, the Code of Postures of Bragança, in addition to the periodicals Cidade de Bragança, O Cidadão and Revista Bragança Ilustrada, which circulated in the proposed period. The sources allowed access to daily life, to loving relationships, to the various values that residents of the Bragantina region and representatives of the legal elaborated on body, sexuality, family, honor, morality, work and leisure, for example. Based on values such as work, family, honor and morality, the investigations showed that the bodies, behaviors, habits, interests and desires of women became the core of the concerns of the state, society and men when the subjects were morality, sexuality and appropriate family constitution. However, despite the surveillance, control and restrictions that women were subjugated in the period studied, many were not willing to conform their bodies, their interests and needs to the moralizing and disciplinary discourses that intended to imprison them.

Estratégias educacionais em saúde para mitigar o estigma da tuberculose sofrido pelos pacientes e familiares: revisão integrativa de literatura
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-08-24) AZEVEDO, Leyvilane Libdy; GONÇALVES, Lucia Hisako Takase; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6191152585879205; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5172-7814; POLARO, Sandra Helena Isse; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7875594038005793; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5026-5080
INTRODUCTION: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease, caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is one of the oldest diseases that has received several different meanings according to the historical period. The precarious social conditions of most carriers require commitment, involvement and recognition of their impact on the various dimensions of human life from health services, requiring the perception of these issues and the understanding of their possible influence in the search for health services. OBJECTIVE: The present study aims to analyze educational health strategies aimed at destigmatizing tuberculosis among patients and their families. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK: The concept of Evidence Based Practice and Stigma approached by Goffmann was used as a conceptual framework. METHOD: This is an Integrative Literature Review RIL about studies on educational health strategies aimed at destigmatizing tuberculosis among patients and their families. This was carried out in six stages, namely: elaboration of the research question; sampling; categorization of studies; evaluation of studies; interpretation of results; and presentation of the review. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: A total of 429 studies were identified, duplicate ones were excluded, resulting in 266 articles. After reading the abstracts and applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 studies were pre-selected. Of these, 12 were excluded for not being in open access mode. Then, a careful reading of the other articles was carried out, of which 6 were selected to compose the sample of this integrative review. After thorough reading and data collection of the articles included in the IR, the following thematic categories related to the object of study emerged: Stigma, myths and concepts; and Educational health strategies. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Based on the results found, educational strategies aimed at patients and family members are pointed out as the best way to reduce stigma in this nucleus. The study pointed out weaknesses regarding the findings that deal with educational strategies aimed at this binomial, since only 6 articles were identified, the majority with a low level of evidence. The low production of Brazilian studies allows a reflection on the need to develop research and broader national discussions on the implementation of strategies with the aim of reducing the stigma associated with the disease.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-12) SILVA, Dielly de Castro; SOUSA, Jheime Matos de; SILVA FILHO, Mílton Ribeiro da
This article aims to find out which representations of gender, which means to be a boy or being a girl, presented by students of the first year of high school at the State Public School Márcio Nery in Manaus, seeking to fundamentally understand how it operates based social relations gender and see how these students experience gender roles. The survey was conducted through semi-structured interview, based on the screening of a short film entitled "Gender at school" in a sociology class. From the analysis of the interviews it was found that gender issues guide the social areas of student, family and school. These, as social institutions play roles to play and reiterate gender norms. Students also reproduce what is meant, culturally, to be boy or girl, resulting in unequal system which exalts those who obey the social standards and follow the construction of what is to be boy or girl and reject those who misrepresent binary male / female system or practice actions defined as not consistent with the genre it belongs to.

This dissertation has as object of study the demands presented by the families in the scope of Social Assistance in the municipality of Parauapebas located in the state of Pará / Brazil. The objective of this study is to investigate how the Social Assistance policy intervenes in the perspective of guaranteeing social rights, based on the demands presented by the families in the CRAS and CREAS of the city of Parauapebas (PA). The analysis is based on the critical dialectical method as it assists the movement of social reality and the phenomena that it presents, in order to overcome the appearance of the demands of the families that express themselves in the scope of the Assistance, in search of the apprehension of the processes related to the multiple spheres of social relations that affect social policy and the families that resort to it. Thus, this dissertation points out that a strong characteristic of Brazilian patriarchal society is still present in the particularity of Parauapebas, because, in the scope of Assistance, issues of violation of law, where children and adolescents are the main victims, stand as issues from intimate forum to family, linked mainly to the role of women in the care and protection of their loved ones. In this way, the family and the welfare experience inflows of the social structure that exists beyond the subjective environment where the relations are more restricted to the family environment, based on the neoliberal logic of capitalist accumulation that generates setbacks in the field of social rights, where the State it becomes increasingly obscure in the social sphere. On the other hand, we can not fail to understand that, despite the various contradictions in the field of family and social policy, the results of the Assistance actions address the need both of poor families in relation to the limits of the labor market in capitalist society, the needs of capitalist accumulation.

Family conflicts are complex and are growing in scale related to several aspects, such as psychological, behavioral, moral, cultural and economic, leading to the massification of judicialization due to the actors involved not being able to reach a consensual resolution. This fact also generates the possibility of other conducts arising from the absence of this consensus with consequences, including criminal ones. This research aimed to verify the possibility of applicability of Restorative Justice in conflicts of Family Law whether judicial or not, observing its specificities so that the methodological approach could be applied satisfactorily. As a methodology, qualitative empirical research with a hermeneutic focus was chosen. In the phase of restorative justice interventions in concrete cases, the peacebuilding circle method was applied, according to the methodology described by Pranis (2011). First, a bibliographic documentary survey was carried out on restorative justice, family conflicts, restorative practices, projects and legislative policy. Then, the choice of cases for interventions to be carried out, with cases of family conflict that were under the responsibility of the Nucleus of Legal Practice (NPJ) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) being selected; the Court of Justice of the State of Pará (TJPA) of Belém, through the 4th and 5th Family Courts; Permanent Nucleus of Consensus Methods for Conflict Resolution (NUPEMEC), and the Judiciary Center for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (CEJUSC) of the Capital and Ananindeua, totaling 14 interventions. Which followed the following steps: pre-circle, peace-building circle and post circle, when possible. After analyzing the interventions, the results were: five fully restorative cases; four partially restorative cases; and five non-restorative cases. Given the above, it is observed that the resolution of family conflicts through Restorative Justice is fully possible and even recommendable, providing the actors involved with the opportunity to reach a consensual, humanized and democratic solution, based on dialogue and active listening , enabling a safe environment for the discussion of difficult and painful matters that meets the needs of the parties, generating obligations in relation to the damage caused, making them assume their responsibilities.

This research analyzed the work organization in production units of farming families in Nossa Senhora de Lourdes community, Mãe do Rio city, Guamá Microregion in Northeastern Pará, from a context of natural environment limitations. This is a case study conducted from qualitative and quantitative approaches, where the main methodological tools used were interviews, questionnaires and participant observation. The survey data were systematized and analyzed from a theoretical approach that prioritized the analysis categories: family, work division and natural environment exploitation. The main conclusions show that: i) families adapt to limiting ecological conditions in which production units are located, creating alternatives to the productive activities development through these units management reconfiguration and its members work organization ii) children departure to wage is a replication of the parents work path. However, even they do not have access to land, there will be a tension situation between the labor demand that the family production unit requires, the childrens need to gain income "right" both to ensure their basic conditions (clothes, shoes, etc.) like to return to the establishment itself (inputs, working tools and animals purchase), and the parents willingness to achieve its children future alternatives, since the production unit will not sustain a lot of families in the same area iii) while for studied farmers an idealized model of work organization is already idealized based on generation, age and sex of individuals, in practice this idealization does not hold for the entire case study, because families ideal models (couples and children who live and work in the same production unit) are challenged with the children departure to perform extra ground activities (farm and nonfarm), a situation that implies an increase in work effort by some members over others, causing disruptions in culturally defined roles.

The diagnosis of cancer is a disorganizing moment in the child's life and also in the lives of those who live with him or her, the reactions can be disastrous for the child and their families, leading them to emotional imbalances, insecurity, guilt, fear, and symptoms of depression. Identifying the family system, that is, the family as a complex phenomenon, which demands support among its members, to deal with a particular disease situation, can be the first step towards raising awareness and reflection on the importance and care of the family for the nursing. Family nursing research has contributed to new care experiences, which implies a reflection on new possibilities for nurses / family interaction in different scenarios and contexts. OBJECTIVES: To identify the structure, development and standard of functioning of the children's families with cancer in the region of Amazonia/Belém/Pará, by applying the Calgary Family Assessment Model (MCAF); to describe the children's families history with cancer according to the MCAF in the Amazonian context; to describe the expectations of the children's family members with cancer in relation to the participation of the nurse in the care of the child and his / her family. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, used as a theoretical and methodological reference, the Calgary Family Assessment Model. It was developed in the city of Belém-PA, in a reference hospital in pediatric oncology. The study included 05 families of children diagnosed with cancer who were being treated in the hospitalization sector. A semistructured interview technique was performed, whose sessions were recorded and transcribed entirety, avoiding the loss or misrepresentation of the information. The analysis of thematic content was carried out in the light of the MCAF in three categories: structural, developmental and functional evaluation, presented through the Genogram and Ecomapa through the statements of each family interviewed. RESULTS: From the experiences of caring for the child with cancer we verified that the families experienced significant changes and problems of several magnitudes that came to compromise some relationships in the internal and external structure of the families. The Calgary Family Assessment Model allowed us to observe a scientific and systematic structure, through its categories of family assessment, because it helped us to gather information, which gave us support in the construction of the Genogram and Ecomapa in a way that allowed a broader and more significant view of the family structure. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The child and his/her family need a qualified and systematized assistance in order to enable paths that foster feelings of hope, security and confidence regarding the treatment and consequently aiming a satisfactory prognosis, so we emphasize the need for new studies related to the family, especially the applicability of the Calgary Family Intervention Model (MCIF), in order to deepen and make possible new dimensions, giving to family nursing new collaborations of great scientific relevance.
