Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aconselhamento linguageiro no processo de aprendizagem de inglês(2013-06) SILVA, Walkyria Alydia Grahl Passos Magno e; DANTAS, Larissa; MATOS, Maria Clara Vianna Sá e; MARTINS, Marja FerreiraAnother agent has appeared in the foreign languages teaching and learning context in the recent years: the language learning adviser (LLA). A working definition of this construct is presented in this text. The roles of this agent are shown and compared to the roles played by the teacher. The place where language advising happens in the institutions is presented and the best practices are described. This experiment was developed in a university in Northern Brazil and it involved teachers and students of foreign languages. The data comes from English language advisers and students. Some of the evidences of the impact of this professional on students' autonomization and motivation is described. Finally, a counseling experience conducted through technological resources, when face to face contact was not possible, is shown.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Alegorias do sofrimento e da resistência: disposições afetivas da política em imagens fotográficas(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2022-06) LAGE, Leandro RodriguesThe purpose of the text is to present the general lines of an epistemological and also a methodological proposal for the debate on images, considered affective expressions of indignation, conviction and desire. It seeks to examine photographs of the artistic and photojournalistic regimes as allegories of the suffering and resistance of the Amazonian peoples, with the intention of discussing how these images manage and give visible and sensitive expression to experiences of suffering, to physiognomies of historical time, to survivals of the desire and political subjectivations. This proposal starts from the experimentalism of knowledge through allegories, rehearsing the theoretical-methodological productivity of the benjaminian allegorical episteme in the legibility of the images and tensioning the forms, correspondences, temporalities and conventions in the examination of images that offer an apprehension of history as an anachrony of sufferings and fights. The background to this approach is the inextricable link between image and politics.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise de citações em textos acadêmicos escritos(2011) MACEDO, Tatiana do Socorro Chaves Lima de; PAGANO, Adriana SilvinaThis article reports on a study of citations in academic writing from the perspective of citation analysis and genre analysis (Moravcsik & Murugesan, 1975; Swales, 1986, 1990, 2004; Bhatia, 2004). The study focuses on the use of citations by expert and novice members of the Linguistics community and presents a comparative analysis of nine research articles and thirteen student term papers in that area. The results show that the linguistic choices that guide the writing of citations are largely shared by the expert members (authors of the research articles) and the novice ones (graduate students authoring the papers) in that both tend to choose confirmative over negative citations. Unlike novices, however, expert members tend to use their own voices to confront other authors. The implications of this study reinforce the need for Language Teaching Education Programs to offer a genre-based approach to discourse aimed at developing students' rhetorical consciousness about academic writing, and consequently about the use of citations in written texts, thereby enabling novices to build up an authorial positioning within their discourse community.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Anthropologie d'une saudade: mémoire et imaginaire dans la représentation du cycle du latex à Belém do Pará(De Boeck Supérieur, 2001) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Autonomia parkatêjê para preservar sua língua nativa: me ikwy tekjê ri(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-04) SILVA, Maria de Nazaré Moraes da; SILVA, Marília de Nazaré Ferreira; SILVA, Walkyria Alydia Grahl Passos Magno eAfter the 1988 Constitution, formal education in Brazil suffered many changes. Nowadays, schools tend to adapt their actions to the current educational paradigm, and indigenous communities take a stand in this matter. One said community is the Parkatêjê, inhabitants of the Mãe Maria Reservation Area, in Pará. This paper, based on published materials, gathers information about the initiative of this community to preserve its culture. It also brings data about the implementation of formal education among indigenous people and about autonomy, a phenomenon related to current pedagogical practices. This text highlights the fact that Indigenous Education has not yet matured with regards to the preservation of native languages and suggests that ethnographical studies should be carried out in indigenous schools. The text also aims at helping to spread the word about the Parkatêjê experience in valuing its own culture.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Banalidade e intersubjetividade na arte(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, 2017-07) CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThis article aims to reflect on the banality of art in its quotidianity. It attempts to question by what social dynamics the common, the banal and the quotidian can come to have artistic value. The answer we seek to build for the question, observes this sensation in its dynamics of sociation, that is, as a bond, as a structure of the collective and experiential character of social life. By understanding the phenomenon as a total social fact, we can say that it is engendered and simultaneously engenders the societal bond in an intersubjective procedure that produces the shared sense.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O canto das Sereias e a embriaguez do tradutor(2012-06) LEAL, IzabelaIt's well known that to German Romantic culture translation is related to the process of formation, being associated with the very concept of Bildung, as already pointed out by Antoine Berman. Bildung necessarily refers to the dimension of experience, a process of enlargement and unfolding, which is a perfect metaphor to the notion of travel, so important to the Romantics. Such movement of crossing-over, which is the unsettling "task of the translator", can be understood as a process of navigation through that nebulous region where one hears the Sirens' call, and as Maurice Blanchot once wrote, one runs the risk of disappearing.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As Casas Bahia não entrarão no Amapá. Consumo, política e intersubjetividade(Universidade Estadual Paulista, 2013-08) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deAn unusual subject appeared in the 2010 election campaign in the brazilian state of Amapá: the rumor that, if the candidate Lucas Barreto (PTB) was elected governor, his deputy governor, Jaime Nunes, entrepreneur owner of the largest group of local retail stores Domestilar, will mobilize political conditions to prevent the arriving of new retail groups in the state, particularly the "Casas Bahia", a powerful Brazilian network of retail stores. Bombarded by advertising this group, which is aired on national television, the population converted this subject into a political issue. The article seeks to understand how consumer desire, with its political dimension, is an intersubjective phenomenon in a mediatized society.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os ciberconsumidores e a ciberpublicidade: marcação interagente e interações reativas como práticas de consumo no facebook(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2018-06) SOUSA, Thatianne Silva; MARQUES, Jane AparecidaIn this article, we present reflections about consumer practices developed by cyberconsumers from the way they interact with (and from) ciberpublicity on social networks on the Internet, specifically on Facebook. A brief theoretical approach on the concepts of cyberpublicity and the role of cyberconsumers, we describe the methodological course that helped us in the analysis of interactions and in the identification of cultural and media consumption practices that we call interagent tagging and reactive symbolic interaction.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Circulação das discussões teóricas e epistemológicas da comunicação no norte do Brasil(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2015-06) MALCHER, Maria Ataide; LOPES, Suzana Cunha; MIRANDA, Fernanda ChocronThis paper is guided by the following question: what is the circulation (BRAGA, 2012a) of the discussions from the COMPÓS’ Communication Epistemology Working Group in the training of master degree students in the North, considering the Group as one of the most important environments to update the discussions on this subject in Brazil? Our first focus was to identify the circulation of texts and authors who are members of the Group in the references of dissertations already defended in PPGCOM-UFPA and PPGCCOM-UFAM. We found the citation of some authors from the Group, specially some older texts, which shows a lag of discussions on theories in the North. With this research, we also realize the great presence of other texts about Communication Theories. Therefore, in a second step, we add to the discussion our empirical experiences from classroom in PPGCOM-UFPA, because we find that this still is one of the main environments to circulate such knowledge in the North.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As classes verbais da língua Paresi (Aruák)(Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, 2017-12) BRANDÃO, Ana Paula BarrosThe goal of this paper is to describe the verb classes of Paresi, an Arawak language, spoken by approximately 3,000 people in the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil. In Paresi, verbs can be classified into intransitive, transitive and ditransitive. In general, intransitive verbs in Arawak languages are subclassified into: active intransitives, and stative intransitives. The division in the group of intransitives is syntactically marked, as subjects of stative intransitive and object of transitive are marked by the same form, while subjects of transitives take a different marking. The majority of Arawak languages exhibits semantic alignment, that is, the selection of agreement marking depends on the eventivity parameter. In Paresi, the division in the intransitives is morphologically marked as the following: a) some intransitive verbs take the same subject marking as transitive verbs (set A proclitics); b) other intransitive verbs take a different subject marking (set B proclitics). Semantically, verbs are classified into agentive and non-agentive. The semantic features of [agentivity] and [control] have an essential role in the assignment of verbos to subclasses. The data were collected during field research and the analysis is based on a functional-typological approach.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A cobertura de ciência em três jornais paraenses: um estudo longitudinal(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12) CARVALHO, Vanessa Brasil de; MASSARANI, Luisa Medeiros; SEIXAS, Netília Silva dos AnjosItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Como adolescentes apreendem a ciência e a profissão de cientista?(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-08) REZNIK, Gabriela; MASSARANI, Luisa Medeiros; SILVA, Marina Ramalho e; MALCHER, Maria Ataide; AMORIM, Luís Henrique de; CASTELFRANCHI, YurijThe media representations play an important role on the perception of girls toward the scientific universe. In this paper, we seek to understand perceptions of female teenagers about science and scientists, using as stimulus TV stories from Jornal Nacional and Fantástico, of Rede Globo. We held four focus groups with students of the 2nd year of high school of public and private schools. Among the visions of the scientific activity we highlight: the association of science to the contents of school disciplines offered in elementary and secondary school; the association of science with experimentation and discovery; the vision of science as accumulation of knowledge as linear growth. We have not identified clear differences in perceptions of teenagers from different social classes. By using a qualitative approach - little explored in studies on public perceptions of S&T - this study may contribute to a deeper understanding of the perception of teenagers toward the scientific activity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comparando as consoantes das línguas Tapajúna e Suyá(2011-12) RODRIGUES, Cíntia Karla Coelho; SILVA, Marília de Nazaré FerreiraThis study investigates historical and comparative aspects of Tapajúna (Jê family) consonantal features, comparing cognates between Tapajúna and Suyá (also of the Jê family) with the goal of specifying similarities and differences in an effort to describe the reconstruction of the Macro-Jê stock. The comparative method was applied to detect correspondences between the languages. Data from Tapajúna and Suyá were compared to Proto-Jê data, as reconstructed by Davis (1966). There are few differences between Tapajúna and Suyá. Where there are variations in identical phonetic-phonological contexts, the question of speaker age arises, since, for example, pre-nasalized consonants occur in the speech of young people, whereas older Tapajúna speakers use only nasalized consonants.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comprando na feira: experienciando a carne do mundo. Etnografia e comunicação intersensorial(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2020-06) CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves deOur aim, with this work, is to discuss the relationship between intersensory communication in shaping of the taste experienced at the fair in Guamá. Our work is based on a sensory ethnography (PINK, 2010; 2009 [2017]) carried out between August 2011 and August 2017. We use the phenomenology of Gadamer (1976) and Merleau-Ponty (1945) as a theoretical-methodological procedure, seeking to establish a fusion between ethnographic reflection and reduction, or phenomenological description, in order to excavate the senses of sensory interactions at starting from the communication processes of the senses of the body and produced through it in the ways of interacting at the fair in Guamá and, from then on, in the conformation of the taste experienced there. In other words, we try to understand how taste at the fair is produced from the cognitive processes perceived by the body and, at the same time, produced by the senses within the interactions produced there, generating communication processes and, thus, participating in the engendering and societies or social forms (SIMMEL, 1983, 2006; 2013) generated there.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação banal e quotidiano em um mercado de Belém(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2022-12) CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThis article describes an ethnographic research carried out at the Guamá fair, in Belém (PA), during the years 2011 to 2018. The objective was to understand the communicational and cultural processes present in the social interactions of this fair, thus trying to describe the typifications that make up the intersubjectivity of the social subjects who attend it. In this way, these typifications are described and discussed as the social form of a banal everyday life and an attempt is made to think about these typifications through the Heideggerian notion of chatter (Gerede), understood as a communicational-cultural process affected by the banality of everyday life.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação em ouvidoria: um modelo de prática organizacional para os hospitais universitários federais(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2022-06) NOBRE NETO, Pedro Germano; MOURA, Flavia de Almeida; RABELO, Melissa Silva Moreira; SANTOS, Protásio Cézar dosThis article is the result of a research that sought to understand the communicative practices of the Ebserh Ombudsman Network, from the perspective of the triad manifestation of Ombudsman, satisfaction survey and access to information, in the perspective that they can be analyzed in the context of organizational communication. From an understanding of the social network as the construction of relational bonds between individuals and a qualitative methodology, a bibliographic research was used; documentary research on current legislation; participant observation; quiz; and interview. It was concluded that communication in the ombudsman's offices can be guided and standardized, and a Communication Model in the Ombudsman's Office is produced, with two actions: a training proposal and a guide with general guidelines for communicative practices in the Ombudsman's Office.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação, Identidade e TV pública no Pará(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, 2012) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Conhecimento técnico e atitude no ensino de língua portuguesa(2009-12) FAIRCHILD, Thomas MassaoContrary to the idea that the technical knowledge of the teacher of a native tongue serves primordially to the content of its teaching or to the planning of classes, this article discusses the precept that such knowledge should be seen as the basis for the creation of an attitude to be maintained in face-to-face interactions in the classroom. This attitude relates to the constant need to make decisions before the unexpected, and points to the construction of a specific discursive place for the language teacher - that of someone who listens to the student's words and enlaces them to his or her own words, so as to make sure that the assumption of the position of subject follows a reflection about the linguistic means available to such end. As an example to fuel this debate, the text describes the case of the unusual interpretation made by some students of the word "rataria" present in one of Monteiro Lobato's works. Some of the possible attitudes before this reading mistake are discussed, as well as their implications: to request a change in the answer, to modify the didactic material, to make explicit the linguistic work underlying the mistake, or to use the mistake as a pretext to other activities. The procedures discussed are based on the premise that mistakes and other unforeseen manifestations not only reveal procedures of construction of knowledge, but also offer important opportunities for the teacher to include him/herself into the student's word, being, therefore, a fundamental aspect in the construction of a relationship in which teaching becomes possible.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Considerações sobre a posse nominal em Apurinã (Aruák)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12) FREITAS, Marília Fernanda Pereira de; FACUNDES, Sidney da SilvaNouns in the Apurinã language (Arawak), which is spoken in southeastern Amazonas, Brazil, have been studied by multiple authors, and different classifications have been proposed (Facundes, 1995, 2000; Brandão, 2006; Facundes; Freitas, 2013). In this paper, we will revisit the different classifications for nouns in Apurinã, and present a new proposal by Freitas (2017), which classifies the nouns in the language as: (i) alienable, (ii) inalienable, and (iii) non-possessible nouns. Inalienability is defined not only in terms of morphological marking patterns, but also considering the ‘frequency of occurrence’ in possessive constructions and ‘economic motivation,’ as defined by Haspelmath (2008), following a typological approach. Inalienable nouns thus more frequently appear as possessed, being unmarked in possessive constructions, and therefore more economical, while alienable nouns more frequently occur as unpossessed, marked in possessive constructions by a set of suffixes, and therefore less economical
