We analyzed editions of both newspapers during the period of September, October and November, in 2014. We based our analysis on Bardin’s Content Analysis model (1977) and Galtung and Ruge’s study on newsworthy criteria (1965). his study is also based on consid erations and discussions on specialized sports journalism, as in Tavares (2009). Here, the logic of specialized journalism, adopted by the media in question, is divided thematically, that is, in journals/editorials, without a specialized coverage bias in the qualitative and in-depth approach to content. Moreover, in analyzing the content, under the bias of newsworthiness, it was concluded that the approach taken by publications of sports items does not conigure a picture of the reality of local practices related to the sports universe, because it is still very much linked to the reproduction of materials of other states.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Transmídia e redes sociais: aspectos da inovação no telejornalismo(Universidade Federal do Tocantins, 2018-05) CUNHA, Elaide Martins da; CASTRO, Mariana Costa; VINAGRE, Isabelle Cristinne Fecury LameiraBased on a look at the Journal of Record News, this research seeks to understand the uses and appropriations of transmedia and the digital and social networks as aspects of innovation in ways of doing telejournalism. While empirical support, presents a mapping on some practices of fan-garners activism in the former official forum of the online game of League of Legend (LoL) in Brazil. Thus, propose is a typology of daily resistance practices in the LoL community in four different ways. The results of the approach indicate that the diversity of the universe of digital productions and practices of these fans re-signifies understandings of resistance and question the duality between citizenship and the consumption of pop culture, acting as catalysts that provide a variety of practices that (re)interpret and exceed the limits of the fandom.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Muito além dos pixels: experiências de consumo e cultura material em League of Legends(Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, 2017-12) MACEDO, Tarcízio Pereira; VIEIRA, Manuela do CorralThis article seeks to discuss consumer practices in the digital game League of Legends (LoL), from a study based on the field of communication and material culture. The objective is to understand the relationship between objects and players-subjects-consumers. In order to do so, we seek to analyze the social and cultural trajectory of these commodities in the symbolic experiences in LoL. In this perspective, according to the ethnographic method, reports and observations of the consumption of objects in LoL are presented by players from the cities of Belém (PA), Diadema (SP) and Osasco (SP). The results point to the existence of a complex web of interconnected meanings, responsible for (de)codify the objects and transform aggregations of pixels into experiences of communication, consumption and material culture.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação banal e quotidiano em um mercado de Belém(Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, 2022-12) CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThis article describes an ethnographic research carried out at the Guamá fair, in Belém (PA), during the years 2011 to 2018. The objective was to understand the communicational and cultural processes present in the social interactions of this fair, thus trying to describe the typifications that make up the intersubjectivity of the social subjects who attend it. In this way, these typifications are described and discussed as the social form of a banal everyday life and an attempt is made to think about these typifications through the Heideggerian notion of chatter (Gerede), understood as a communicational-cultural process affected by the banality of everyday life.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Experiência e intersubjetividade na prática do crossfit: processos comunicativos e estéticos(Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2022-06) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; LIMA, Rebecca dos SantosThe article discusses the communicative and intersubjective processes present in a box of CrossFit - a growing sport practice in Brazil - located in Belém, Pará. From an ethnography of ten months duration, it was sought to understand the socialities produced there and their interactional dynamics, typification processes and the sharing of a common aesthetic horizon. We propose a dialogue is sought between Communication, phenomenology and ethnography, understanding that the observed social relations constitute, structurally, communicative phenomena, present in social life through typifications of values and understandings of reality.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Consumo e socialidade nas festas de aparelhagem de Belém, Brasil(Universidad de Colima, 2021-12) COSTA, Hans Cleyton Passos da; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves deThe article reflects on the practices and social forms of consumption present in the sound system parties of the city of Belém in a complex and multidi mensional perspective. The article focuses on two blocks of social practices –drinking and clothing– and seeks to problematize the accumulated debate on the problem of consumption from a Simmelian perspective, centered on the complexity of social forms. We concluded that the social forms of the act of consumption are not binary nor permanent structures, but dynamic patterns, that allow for creativity and adjustments wich may occur between social classes and groups, practices of inclusion and exclusion, cohesion and competition, aesthetic pattern and innovative rupture, hedonism and vicarity, group cohesion and life cohesion social.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Festas pretas em Belém - performances identitárias e políticas na festa AFROnto(Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2021-03) BARRAL, Tainá Oliveira; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves deThe article reflects on the relationship between social identification and the empowerment of black youth from the observation of a "black party" in Belém do Pará. A black party is a party organized by black youth and for black youth, marked by identity v of ethical, political and aesthetic references committed to social criticism and to the ethnic resignification of the African diaspora. In a way, these parties can be understood as an identity performance, associated with urban processes of ethnogenesis and recognition claim. The article discusses the social processes present in it from three elements - and seeks to reflect on the political dynamics present in the performative formatio plateaux” (CASTRO; CASTRO, 2017).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Sistema de ensino x saberes práticos: violência simbólica e resistência na reprodução social de trabalhadores amazônicos(Universidade Comunitária da Região de Chapecó, 2021) LINS, Alexandre Sócrates Araujo de Almeida; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThis article articulates the decolonial studies contribution (QUIJANO, 2005; LUCINI and SANTOS, 2018) to the habitus notion (BOURDIEU, 2009). The objective is to show how this practical, incorporated and pre-reflective knowledge, non-literate cultures characteristic, historically coexisted with the education system influence, an institution that sought to make indigenous, black, mestizo, and their descendants reproduce elites culture in the Brazilian Amazon since the Portuguese colonization, in 1616, to the present day. The study concluded that despite the power coloniality, racism, and exploitation by local elites, these mestizo Amazon workers have historically managed to insert themselves in the world of work, thanks to a habitus that articulates the environment domain with an alliances network between exploited. These strategies allowed them to conserve relative economic and cultural autonomy, in different historical periods, in the face of the interests of the ruling classes and the State.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estratégias discursivas da Vale S.A. e a construção do pensamento sobre o desenvolvimento da Amazônia(Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, 2021-08) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deVale S.A. mining company is a transnational company, present in 30 countries, and one of the largest mining companies in the world. In the Brazilian Amazon, it has operated for more than three decades, mainly with the Grande Carajás Program and recently with the S11D Project, a project to expand iron ore extraction activities in the Serra de Carajás, in the state of Pará. Through Discourse and Enunciation Analysis (VERÓN, 2004), this research examines how the discourses produced on the mining company’s website are constructed in the page entitled “S11D Eliezer Batista Complex”, based on the development ideals disclosed by the company. The S11D is considered by critics in the mining sector to be the continuation of the PGC, now with the prospect of doubled profits. The analysis considered that the mining company contributes to the construction of ideals on development in the Amazon, based on the idea of economic growth, ignoring the discourses that represent the territories and social subjects of the region where it operates.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Notas sobre o procedimento hermenêutico de Benedito Nunes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThe article reflects on the hermeneutic procedure used by professor, critic and philosopher Benedito Nunes in his work. Reconstructing the author’s dialogues with Nunes, we seek to understand the peculiarities of his interpretive approach in relation to three thinkers with whom his work permanently dialogues, Heidegger, Gadamer and Ricoeur. It is understood that Nunes’ approach seeks to overcome some impasses in contemporary hermeneutics through the Heideggerian problematic of co-referentiality between foundation and abyss, a theme present in the general issue of ontic-ontological conflict, understanding foundation as the fondamenta tion of the being in the entity and abyss as the being as such. From this equation, considering the statute of co-presence (Zusammengeböririgkeit) between the two elements, it is understood that Nunes’ interpretation action values not only the dynamics of unveiling, but also the concealment of the being and, in doing so, it allows an opening from hermeneutics to the otherness.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Música, temporalidade e emoção nos bailes da saudade de Belém, Pará, Brasil(Universidade Federal da Paraíba, 2020-12) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThe work presents the results of ethnography carried out in the bailes da saudade (balls of nostalgia) in Belem, Para, Brazil, and seeks to discuss the artifices and dispositives for the production of temporality in the urban culture of that city. In this perspective, an attempt is made to understand the relationship between music, temporality and emotion using Heidegger's (2012) reflections on daily temporality, Derrida (1972; 1994) on the question of the “metaphysics of presence” and Schütz (1967; 2012), about the intersubjective processes that make up culture.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formas sociais, comunicação e tipificações do afeto numa torcida de futebol(Universidade de São Paulo, 2020-08) FREITAS, Aline Meriane do Carmo de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThe article presents the results of an ethnography of the communication processes present in a soccer crowd, the barra brava Camisa 33, from Clube do Remo, in Belém-PA. Based on a proposition of dialogue between Anthropology and Communication, we sought to understand the intersubjective processes (Schutz, 1978, 2012) expressed by the affections and sensibilities experienced by the fans and shown in social forms (Simmel, 1999, 2006). We sought to carry out an analysis of the sociocultural communicative processes in order to understand the social construction of sensibilities and the production of sensitive meanings that involve team fans.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memória do excesso: vivência do deslocamento compulsório pela Hidrelétrica de Tucuruí(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-08) MERCÊS, Jorge Augusto Santos das; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; RAVENA CAÑETE, VoynerIn this article we describe the mnemonic narratives about the compulsory displacement suffered by people affected by the implementation of the Tucuruí Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Tocantins River (Pará). Our objective is to understand the meanings attributed to temporalities locally denominated Breu Velho and Novo Breu through ethnographic methodology with execution of participant observation and semistructured interviews and informal conversations with people who have lived the compulsory displacement. Functioning as a reference of the absence of the way of life in the places flooded by the filling of the artificial lake of the plant, Breu Velho denominates the restatement of a demand to inhabit that the Novo Breu does not consecrate due to the excess of the event, that broke the expectations and disabled the dynamics social conditions that conferred security on the environment by the being-in-the-world conformation neglected by the inversion that the Western ontology makes of the person.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discurso sobre a sociologia à contrapelo: senso comum e antitomismo na obra de Michel Maffesoli(Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2019-08) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThe article discusses the general assumptions of Michel Maffesoli's sociological thinking by interpreting it as a break with a latent Thomism in the social sciences and, specifically, as a tension with epistemology as a form of knowledge. Proposing to think of Maffesoli's sociology as a diatopic hermeneutics, the article reviews some of the elements that structure this author's thinking, among which the critique of schematic dualism, the Simmelian idea of “social form”, the assumption of a relativistic sensibility, stylistic inquiry and libertarian commitment. It is understood that these five elements refer to the idea of ordinary, banal knowledge and the notion of common sense, which constitute the core of the sociologist's work.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Rituais de memória e temporalidade num Dia de Finados(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-06) CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Pragmática comunicativa em uma feira de Belém(Universidade de São Paulo, 2017-08) XAVIER, Fábio Rodrigo de Moraes; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deThis article aims to reflect on the communicative pragmatic present on the Guamá market, located in Belém, in the Brazilian Amazon. We seek to observe, from an ethnographic approach, the social movement and the communicative interaction practices of the subjects there, in relation to the dynamics of space occupation and the disposition of the goods sold there. The research evidences the organizational structure in its intersubjective dynamics, and, from this perspective, we observe the development of the idea of place and identification that people develop with this place within aesthetic processes. For this reflection, this article uses studies by the theorist Maffesoli, who addresses locality and social practices in daily life. We also use a study by Schutz to interprete social practices through typification in social structures; also, we use the understanding on social form by Simmel.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fotografia e reterritorialização urbana. Saídas fotográficas e sensibilidade social em Belém(Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro, 2018) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; ARRAES, Raoni Lourenço; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves deThe article discusses the relationship between the notion of reterritorialization and the photographic experience, seeking to understand the social experience of photographing the city of Belém in its contexts of meaning: the historical dynamics of what we call the “photographic movement of Belém” and the temporal experiences of the observed subjects. In order to illustrate the problem, a nine-month-long ethnographic research is cut and a “photographic outlet” – an urban tour of photographers, which took place on the night of the Trasladação, which precedes the Círio de Nazaré, in Belém – is followed. The article discusses photography as a process of re-signification and sensitization of the urban space.
