This model, considered innovative in the public service, uses Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to improve administrative processes and increase bureaucratic flexibility, generating better results. In addition, the Theory of Adaptive Structuring (ASD) explains the implementation and use of Information Systems as a social construction by the technological appropriation of the members of the organization. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of telework in the servers of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA) and the Federal University of South and Southeast of Pará (UNIFESSPA) from the perspective of ASD. The research is of an applied nature, with exploratory purposes, and uses a qualitative and quantitative approach of descriptive character, with a survey as a strategy. The non-probabilistic convenience sample used Multiple Regression analysis to interpret the data. The results show that the variables Communication, Technological Infrastructure, Autonomy, Organizational Adaptation and Impact on Quality of Life influence the implementation of telework, and the most interesting thing is that what is significant for one institution was not for the other. In addition, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to verify whether the respondents' profile influences the results. The insights gained are crucial for other institutions considering adopting telecommuting, providing an evidence-based guide to a successful transition. In addition to the practical and empirical impact, this research is also of great relevance in the academic context, as it contributes to the advancement of knowledge about the adaptation and use of technologies in the public sector. The analysis from the perspective of ASD offers a new perspective to understand how different factors interact in the organizational context, which can serve as a basis for future studies and academic debates on the implementation of technological innovations in public and private organizations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise da relação entre qualidade de vida no trabalho, comprometimento organizacional e a intenção de permanecer na organização a partir da percepção dos servidores de uma instituição de ensino superior pública(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-28) CARDOSO, Lídia Maria Begot Bento; MARTINS, Harley dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3094067019584624The multidimensional needs of employees can directly impact their choice to stay or leave the organization they are a part of; therefore, investing in quality of work life has become an advantageous strategy to improve working conditions, retain employees, and foster the expected organizational performance. The present study aimed to analyze the perception of employees in a public higher education institution (HEI) regarding "Quality of Work Life" (QWL) and its relationship with "Intention to Stay in the Organization" (IS), with this relationship mediated by "Organizational Commitment" (OC). A theoretical study was carried out on the selected constructs, with the creation of research hypotheses. Methodologically, the research has a descriptive and quantitative approach, with path analysis through structural equation modeling. Data were obtained from a questionnaire composed of 45 items, with 148 respondents. The results confirmed only 4 out of 15 formulated hypotheses, namely that only the QWL dimensions of "Training and Development" and "Job Satisfaction" demonstrated significant value in predicting the intention to stay, with the mediation of organizational commitment in the relationship also confirmed. Thus, it is concluded that employees who perceive quality of life in the work environment are more likely to stay in the organization, which can positively affect organizational performance. This study contributes academically to the Brazilian literature that has a shortage of investigations of these variables through structural equation modeling, and practically to strategic management by highlighting the importance of quality of work life and organizational commitment in talent retention. Public Higher Education Institutions should identify areas that can be improved to seize growth opportunities. In this regard, it is essential to understand the perception of the stakeholders involved. A study focused on the perception of university employees, particularly those affiliated with the vice-rectorate, was conducted. To this end, a survey was carried out, and the obtained results were analyzed using Item Response Theory, as well as the construction of the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The hypotheses were confirmed: failure to implement guidelines in line with Corporate Risk Management principles can lead to inconsistencies in the implementation of Public Governance in the university environment, and the lack of awareness among federal public servants about the established guidelines is a factor contributing to non-compliance with institutional risk mitigation. The dimensions of internal and external communication, with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.67, and evaluation and strategic planning, with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.73, indicate that it is possible to address the opportunity to avoid, reduce, minimize, manage, and even transfer risks through the implementation of communication programs and transparency in accountability. An interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach is necessary to construct comprehensive solutions within the context of continuous improvement.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Barreiras no uso dos serviços do governo eletrônico do Brasil por idosos à luz da Teoria da Resistência à Inovação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-08-28) ALBERNAZ, Suellen Patrícia Silvestre Ribeiro; POLETO, Thiago; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2623462990819090; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7100-2319Electronic government (e-Gov) uses digital technologies to modernize and optimize public services, promoting greater transparency and accessibility. However, there are gaps in understanding the factors that affect the intention to continue using these services, particularly among elderly users. The objective of this research is to analyze how image barriers, tradition barriers, digital skills, and the quality of internet access contribute to the resistance of elderly users to the continuous use of Brazilian government services. To test and validate the proposed conceptual model, structural equation modeling was used with data from questionnaires of 426 respondents. The research results reveal effects among the evaluated constructs, with the two barriers highlighted by the Innovation Resistance Theory, tradition and image, demonstrating statistical significance. Additionally, the quality of internet access and digital skills also emerge as factors that predict the intention to continue using the services. The application of this model showed that Image Barriers, Tradition Barriers, and Digital Skills explain 47.8% of the variance in the respondents' Intention to Continue Using (ICU). Therefore, this study advances the discussion on technology acceptance in Brazilian e-Gov services.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brasil, mostra tua cara: as (in)visibilidades estatísticas de LGBTQIAP+(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-12) MATTOS, Marcos Fabrício da Costa; LUCENA, Bruno Rafael Dias de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0451524747464562This dissertation brings to light the relevance of discussions on the dynamics and understanding of LGBTQIAP+ identities in their multiple daily lives involving gender relations and sexual diversity in the Brazilian socio-political context. It is a study based on the 1988 constitutional premise, which states that it is the duty of the state to promote the well-being of all, without prejudice to origin, color, age, or any form of discrimination. Its importance is therefore justified in three respects: a) Social, since the issue of promoting citizenship for vulnerable populations is a current debate in various fields, pointing to constant transformations and, consequently, advances and setbacks in Brazilian society over the last thirty years; b) Academic, since research related to LGBTphobia is of the utmost importance to encourage studies on the practice, delimitation and analysis of this type of violence, as a way of confronting all types of violence and prejudice, making a great contribution to scientific, social and political circles and, based on this understanding, it was also observed that there is still no debate on Organizational Management related to the LGBTQIAP+ population in the PPGAD/UFPA database, making the work unprecedented. c) Institutional Practice, since it can help in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of policies, as a conquest of rights for LGBTQIAP+ people in the country. In view of this, the research was mainly dedicated to qualifying the citizenship of this population, understood in the concept of Human Rights, with the aim of making it a reality, using statistical indicators generated by organizations, in this case the IBGE, as a possible instrument for the effectiveness of current policies carried out by the Brazilian state. Therefore, understanding that the problem of discrimination permeates the intersectionality of various social markers that make up Brazilian society, the study sought to answer the question: What is the importance of adopting the terms "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" in government instruments for the dynamics of public policies for LGBTQIAP+ people? To achieve this goal, the methodological approach was qualitative research, as well as a systematic and bibliographical review of the themes necessary for critical and constructive interpretation in terms of identifying the political and identity processes of the movements and the violations of their rights. It also used documentary analysis of the activities conducted regarding public policies in Brazil, in the legislative, judicial, and executive spheres from 1992 to 2022. The results led to an eminently historical observation and recovery of the memory of the struggles of the LGBTQIAP+ movement and the particularities of its achievements, through programs, plans and policies implemented in the aforementioned period, presenting themselves as advances but at the same time not so effective, with many failures and moments of setbacks. Another piece of evidence is the mismatch between government institutions when it comes to dealing with and resolving LGBTQIAP+ demands. Therefore, during the research, it became clear that in contemporary Brazil, there is no official data on this population, which are important tools for legitimizing citizenship and guaranteeing rights. Therefore, as a final product, this highly significant research is presented as a contribution to the present and future debates on issues concerning the LGBTQIAP+ population in Brazil.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Captação de recursos para organizações sem fins lucrativos através de negócios sociais: uma visão através da Teoria da Liderança Adaptativa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-08-01) BARBOSA, Kathúcia da Silva; LUCENA, Bruno Rafael Dias de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0451524747464562There is a constant need for Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to adapt to changing contexts and reinvent themselves, mainly to find new mechanisms for raising funds in order to guarantee the continuity of their activities in favor of the social good. In this sense, Social Business represents a hybrid perspective of social impact and financial self-sufficiency. Thus, a systematic literature review was carried out in order to understand the contributions of articles published in the last 10 years on Social Business in the Brazilian context, in addition to the elaboration of a theoretical essay outlining the dimensions of adaptive leadership and relating them to fundraising for a OSFL through social businesses. The review made it possible to outline gaps regarding the expansion of publications on the subject to other regions of Brazil, especially the Amazon region due to its global relevance, in addition to the focus on the environmental aspects of social businesses. When comparing the dimensions of adaptive leadership, a model was obtained in which it is clear that the action of an adaptive leader in an NGO can be a means of changing traditional aspects of the organization to the evolution of fundraising through social businesses.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cidadania organizacional, satisfação e engajamento no trabalho: um estudo com servidores federais da educação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-05-16) ARAÚJO, Kelline Feitosa de; MATTOS, Carlos André Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3337808570398709; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3027-7479This paper aims to analyze the correlation among organizational citizenship (OC), job satisfaction, and work engagement. It is a quantitative descriptive research developed with 488 employees of federal institutions of education. One questionnaire was applied using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, the Organizational Citizenship Scale for Knowledge Workers, and the Generic Job Satisfaction Scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques and structural equation modeling. It was found that job satisfaction is positively influenced by OC practices with emphasis on civic virtue and without effects on voice. Tests indicated a positive and significant correlation between job satisfaction and work engagement. This study differs from the others by exploring organizational elements insufficiently studied in the Brazilian civil context and broadens the discussion on the factors that can lead civil officers to work with greater satisfaction and engagement, bringing theoretical contributions and practical implications for public managers and organizational studies.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cultura e comportamentos de cidadania organizacional em uma instituição de ensino superior: uma aplicação de modelagem de equações estruturais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-02-16) VASCONCELLOS, Caitto Arroyo; MATTOS, Carlos André Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3337808570398709; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3027-7479This study aims to analyze how different cultural characteristics impact Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). To achieve this, an exploratory-descriptive survey of a quantitative nature was conducted among 401 employees of a Federal University located in the state of Pará, Brazil. The questionnaire utilized the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) scales. Data were processed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique through SmartPls4® software. Results indicated a prevalence of hierarchical and clan cultures, along with high OCB scores, both individual-focused (OCBI) and organization-focused (OCB-O). It was concluded that OCB-I is positively and significantly influenced by clan (H1a), adhocratic (H3a), and market (H4a) cultures, while OCB-O is influenced by clan (H1b), hierarchical (H2a), and adhocratic (H3b) cultures. The research contributes theoretically to understanding the role of OCB and its interrelation in the workplace. The expectation is that these findings guide managers in formulating organizational strategies, especially in the public sector.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cultura organizacional, compartilhamento do conhecimento, habilidades profissionais e seus efeitos no desempenho organizacional em uma IFES(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-28) NOGUEIRA, Nathalia Maciel; MARTINS, Harley dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3094067019584624; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1400-0939This study started from a literature review to examine the relationship between Organizational Culture, Tacit and Explicit Knowledge Sharing, and Professional Soft Skills and Hard Skills, investigating their impacts on Organizational Performance, proposing a conceptual model that evidences the relationship that was empirically tested in a federal institution of public higher education of reference, using the path analysis model. The analysis validated the hypotheses formulated and demonstrated that tacit knowledge sharing has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between organizational culture and performance. This study will contribute theoretically with a little-explored approach on the connection between knowledge sharing and professional skills, with a proposition of the concept of skill, and with the strengthening of the approach to building a culture of knowledge sharing in organizations. Its managerial implications, on the other hand, consist of management's investment in knowledge-sharing strategies and practices for the success of organizational performance.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os desafios do empreendedorismo LGBTQIAPN+: um mapeamento do cenário atual(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-08-03) GADELHA, Gabriel Rodrigues de Oliveira; MACIEL, Marinalva Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7097094334421162Most studies have approached entrepreneurship and Gender and Sexual Orientation Identities from an individual or organizational standpoint, focusing on researching prejudice, discrimination, or how organizations are structuring themselves to tackle these issues. This study aims to delve into the present landscape of LGBTQIAPN+ Entrepreneurship, actively charting the current scientific landscape, and pinpointing the primary barriers and challenges, along with profiling entrepreneurial individuals, exploring management practices, and delving into entrepreneurial motivation. To attain this research goal, we conducted two separate yet interconnected studies. The initial study seeks to define the scientific context surrounding research on LGBTQIAPN+ Entrepreneurship. We accomplished this through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the works of Kraus et al. (2020), Page et al. (2021), and Tranfield et al. (2003). After applying this method, we were able to outline the scientific framework concerning the topic, uncovering three key research focal points: the existence of LGBTQIAPN+ entrepreneurs and their comparison with heterosexual counterparts, the LGBTQIAPN+ community's entrepreneurial approach, and management theories oriented towards entrepreneurial motivation. Within these research areas, notable aspects include the challenges that LGBTQIAPN+ entrepreneurs face, their entrepreneurial drive, strategies employed, and responses to the heteronormative market. The second phase of the study involved a questionnaire comprising three distinct sections to gauge the landscape of LGBTQIAPN+ Entrepreneurship. Our research sample encompassed diverse gender identities and sexual orientations, extending beyond the confines of gay and lesbian entrepreneurs as studied previously. Our findings confirm the existence of a disparity between entrepreneurial potential and the lack of management practices, support systems, assistance, and investment, all of which collectively hinder the growth and expansion of businesses led by LGBTQIAPN+ individuals. In conclusion, it is evident that LGBTQIAPN+ Entrepreneurship requires an expanded platform for growth, a reduction in prejudice to enable comprehensive entrepreneurial endeavors, increased visibility to acknowledge and resolve their challenges, and enhanced support and assistance to fully harness their potential. Additionally, it is important to note that the scope of this research is bounded by the size of the sample base. As a prospective avenue for future research, we recommend focusing on solutions to identified barriers, conducting case studies for deeper insights into management practices, and proposing projects that promote and foster LGBTQIAPN+ entrepreneurship.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Dimensionamento da força de trabalho em organizações públicas: incorporando competências ao modelo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-04-24) ROCHA, Thiago Almeida da; RAMOS, Camila Carvalho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4681656913940932This study aims to present a Workforce Dimensioning (WD) method that allows Brazilian public organizations to identify and integrate the professional profile based on competences into their WD processes. The research involved collecting data related to the work routine of 111 units of a public institution of the Brazilian judiciary system, such as productivity, quantity and duration. The results indicated the professional profile required by each of the 111 participating units and pointed out a deficit of 98 civil servants. Based on this, the applied methodology can indicate to the researched institution, in a technical way, how to raise and attract the appropriate number of personnel based on the profile of necessary servants. It is expected that this approach can help the studied organization to achieve a more efficient management of its workforce and, consequently, improve its personnel practices.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O efeito do status do consumo sustentável no engajamento e no boca a boca na categoria de consumo moderado pelo tipo de comunicação no ambiente online(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2025-02-07) CARDOSO, Diego Tavares; ARRUDA FILHO, Emilio Jose Montero; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9895428179606886; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1574-8332The status of sustainable consumption has emerged as a differentiation capable of generating demand for environmentally friendly products, which is why several studies have dedicated themselves to better understanding this positioning phenomenon in the context of sustainable consumption. Thus, this research sought to understand the effects of this status of sustainable consumption on engagement and, consequently, on word of mouth when moderated by the type of communication in the virtual environment (rational x emotional). To this end, three quantitative studies were developed, in which statistical techniques were applied using SPSS 23 and PROCESS 4.3 software to analyze the data obtained and achieve a greater understanding of the phenomenon studied. Among the findings of this research, the moderating effect of emotional communication on the relationship between status and engagement stands out, in addition to status with word of mouth. Furthermore, we identified that engagement acts as a mediator in the relationship between status and word of mouth. This study makes significant contributions to the literature and to marketers, offering insights into the most effective type of communication for sustainable products with high or low status appeal, as well as suggesting directions for future research.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O efeito dos preditores da competência digital de funcionários de uma universidade pública e o impacto no comportamento de trabalho inovador(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-05-23) CARVALHO, Larissa Pinon de; POLETO, Thiago; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2623462990819090; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7100-2319Digital competence plays an important role in higher education. The literature highlights the adoption and use of digital competence for the development of educational services in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), but it's still necessary to understand its influence on the innovative behavior of the public official. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of digital competence, based on the predictors’ infrastructure, integration, and digital management, on innovative work behaviors. The research was applied to 540 public employees of a Federal Institution of Higher Education (IFES) in northern Brazil. The response rate for this study was 33.5%. For data analysis, the Structural Equation Modeling approach by Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) was used. The results confirm hypotheses H1, H2 and H3 and indicate that public emplo yees with a high level of perception of digital competence more often develop challenging work to generate new innovative behaviors at work. Adherence to infrastructure, integration and digital management can help the institution to obtain behaviors aimed at innovation, thus, it is up to university public management to conduct them effectively. This research was limited to investigating the influence of digital competence on innovative work behaviors of public employees of a Brazilian IFES. Future studies may address other contextual factors in this relationship. One of the managerial implications is the need for Educational managers to support the construction of guidelines for educational and technological innovation to expand innovative behavior at work.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Eficiência no ensino fundamental: uma análise por região de integração do Estado do Pará 2012 a 2020(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-12) SANTANA, Chiara Fernanda Gomes; PUTY, Claudio Alberto Castelo Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5885474167011571This study aimed to investigate which integration regions are considered inefficient in the application of their resources. The research is structured based on the discussions proposed by the theoretical framework throughout two chapters that address the Theory and the Managerial Public Administration model, based on the principle of efficiency, according to the model proposed by Bresser-Pereira in the 90s, highlighting the regulatory frameworks, and finally, a literature review, based on Povedano et al. (2021). For this, Data Envelopment Analysis – (DEA-BBC model) was used, output-oriented, which makes it possible to comparatively analyze the efficiency of DMUs. To measure the efficiency of Municipalities' spending, data from INEP and the Transparency Portal of the State Attorney General's Office were used. The DEA results indicated that the Tocantins RI obtained the lowest efficiency score, with increasing returns to scale, indicating that to achieve efficiency, optimal use of inputs is necessary, necessitating some reductions in its numbers of teachers and schools, so that each municipality remains on the production frontier. The scale efficiency had an average of 0.3968. These results show that the municipalities in the state of Pará urgently need to have a better use of inputs in relation to expenses, which may have been caused by the poor application of public resources, which should be reviewed by the mayors and by the governor of the State of Pará, with the insertion of public policies to reverse this situation of inefficiency in Elementary EducationItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Engajamento e autoeficácia entre estudantes de administração: um estudo com equações estruturais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-06-14) FERNANDES, Juliana Teixeira; MATTOS, Carlos André Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3337808570398709; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3027-7479The academic performance of students arouses strong interest from educational institutions, professionals in the field and governments, a condition that highlights studies on self-efficacy and academic engagement. Self-efficacy refers to self-assessment regarding one's own abilities to achieve goals, while academic engagement expresses a positive behavior of satisfaction related to learning characterized by vigour, dedication and absorption. Considering these aspects, the objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between engagement in studies and self-efficacy in Business Administration students linked to Federal State Education Institutions in the state of Pará. For that, an exploratory and descriptive survey was carried out with non-probabilistic sampling for accessibility with 417 respondents. Data collection was online and data processing used structural equation modeling (PLSSEM). The results confirmed the positive and significant relationships between engagement and self-efficacy and the conclusions recommend strategies to increase students' self-efficacy and engagement through teacher training and encouragement to the development of new teaching-learning methodologies. Future research can expand the investigation to other courses and institutions and employ qualitative data processing techniques.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estilos de liderança e clima organizacional: um estudo comparativo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-02-14) SILVA, Gesuino Carlos Caninde; RAMOS, Camila Carvalho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4681656913940932Analyzes of organizational behavior involving leadership and organizational climate provide benefits when performed in both private and public organizations. In this premise, leaders emerge in the management process, influencing their subordinates and contributing to the feeling of a collaborative climate that encourages individuals. Thus, this study investigated the perception of 129 servants working in Institutes that bring together 22 Faculties of a Higher Education Institution (HEI), regarding aspects related to leadership and the organizational climate. The specific objectives of the research were to identify leadership styles; assess the organizational climate; and relate the leadership style with the assessment of the climate. Methodologically, it was a quantitative research, of a descriptive nature, applied to IES servers, through two questionnaires adapted from previous research. To assess leadership, a questionnaire consisting of ten questions with three statements each was used, based on the leadership styles: Autocratic, Democratic and Liberal. In the climate assessment, the Support from Management factor was applied, which comprises 9 statements on a five-point Likert scale, ranging from (1) totally disagree to (5) totally agree. To relate the leadership style with the climate assessment, the Spearman Correlation Coefficient was used. As a result of the study, the Democratic leadership style was predominant (70.54%), with a positively perceived organizational climate. In the correlation between styles and climate, there was no association for the Autocratic leader; there are positive and moderate correlations for the Democratic leader; and a decline in the assessment of climate variables for the Liberal style. However, there are gaps in the understanding of factors that affect intentions to use and adopt this technology, especially considering more experienced users of mobile application technology. The research aims to investigate technology acceptance in order to assess the determinants of mHealth adoption in the Amazon. To test and validate the proposed conceptual model, structural equation modeling was used with questionnaire data from 352 participants. The results obtained from the research indicate significant relationships between the constructs evaluated and that perceived privacy mediates the effect between trust and behavioral intentions to adopt mHealth applications, as well as indirect influences such as self-efficacy and direct effects such as perceived usefulness and attitude. The use of this model, with four potential antecedents, made it possible to explain 58% of the variance in respondents' behavioral intention to use. One of its main functions is the provision of public services that meet local needs regarding the realization of human rights. The work began with an in-depth review of the national literature that generated the article “Local Public Management and Human Rights: A bibliometric study in national literature”, submitted to the Humanities and Innovation. The second paper analyzes the governance instruments of municipal management in human rights, particularly the actions implemented for selected vulnerable groups, aiming to create a general indicator of municipal management performance using the Item Response Theory technique. In addition to enabling a comparative assessment of local governments in human rights, the approach allows identifying actions with greater or lesser implementation, providing managers with the possibility of identifying points in which they need to improve their performance. However, little is known about the impact of the manager's profile in this process. Thus, the objective of this research was to analyze the impact of the perception of competence, autonomy and relationship of public managers on Relational Governance (RG), as well as, to identify the effect of perceived control in this relationship. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses a quantitative approach to investigate the impact of the behavioral characteristics of IT managers from the Self-Determination Theory (SDT). The data were collected in Brazilian public institutions active in the areas of education, finance, statistics, and technology, and the hypotheses were identified and evaluated using the technique of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings: The results identified that managers' selfdetermination is related to the perception of control, which consequently this impacts the RG by providing feelings of competence and autonomy capable of building a beneficial relationship with the IT provider. Practical implications: This study, promotes the understanding that upper management needs to support the autonomy of managers to increase their levels of intrinsic motivation when managing supplier deliveries. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between environmental initiatives and organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCB-E) in federal universities. This is a descriptive and quantitative study with canonical correlation analysis conducted with staff from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA). The applied questionnaire utilized the Environmental Initiatives Scale and the OCB-E Scale. The results indicated that environmental initiatives have a positive influence on OCB-E, with emphasis on environmental policy and eco-initiative, while civic eco-engagement showed a moderate relationship. The study contributes to expanding knowledge about institutional factors that encourage sustainable practices in the university environment and provides support for managers in developing strategies aimed at sustainability and environmental engagement of public servants in line with Sustainable Development Goals 4, 11 and 12, which provide for quality education, sustainable cities and communities, and responsible consumption and production, respectively.
